So the ugly headlight on the front of the Blaster has been bugging me lately. Off with it, I say!
So far I've taken off the bracket it was mounted to which was attached to the handle bar clamps. My first instinct is to just pull/cut the wires out from the back of the light itself and leave them be in case I decide to sell the bike later on and re-mount the headlight. Common sense has been itching away at me and telling me this isn't the way to go about it.
Any ideas or advice for how to go about properly removing the wiring for the headlight but keeping it so I can easily rewire it if I decide to put the light back on?
As for the ignition, I'm referring to where the key goes (not the engine on/off switch that is on the left side of the handle bar). I'm assuming this would be a bit trickier to remove, but it isn't a priority at the moment as I can easily tuck it away underneath the hood somewhere for the time being. Any advice on how to go about removing this would also be appreciated. |

Nevermind my last post.
30 minutes of fiddling and I realised those plastic things that look somewhat like fuses are actually plugs!

I did exactly that with the headlight.
As for the ignition, I'm not too keen on having that big ugly black box in the centre of my new handle bar so will probably relocate it somewhere where it is safe and out of view. |
