allright ive got this 05 model and its still new. are these things like the wr and yz in that the cam timing should be changed? what are the first things that i should be doing to this quad.? how different are they to the newer models? i will trade this on an 08 model at the end of the year so any info i can get will be great _________________ it dont hurt till the bone shows |

the cam timing can be changed to YZ timing pretty easily, plenty of other stuff to do the the engine like pipe, jetting, porting, high comp piston, ignition etc.. but I'd concentrate on suspension and handling first. _________________

thanks mate, luke beechy sorted me out with the pep zps gear at a hell of a good price so the suspension is sorted it was just the engine stuff. what pipes etc is every one else using.
he also reckons most of the other guys out there are good to deal with as well which is a pleasant suprise from the dirtbike world. good to see you quad blokes look after each other _________________ it dont hurt till the bone shows |

yup it's funny how different it is from the rest of the bike industry, Most of the guys in the biz get along well and are good mates.
So many options for pipes, Leo Vince, Yoshimura, DMC, Bills, HMF are all readily available and worth looking at. I prefer the Leo X3 FIM spec pipe just because its so quiet but if your doing MX you probably want to go for a full open system. _________________
