Dont worry about your Quad, the TRX's are good value and go fine. I have been on Aussie Quad Adventures rides before and there are always plenty of Ag quads there. You will have a ball _________________ 2012 Polaris RZR XP Turbo

Hello every one
I am new to the ATV forum and have watched this post for some time.
My friends and I all ride an ATV of some form or another (7 of us) and we are all looking forward to this Texas cross country ride.
Our payments have been deposited and we are all set to go.
We have a number of times tried to find out more information about the type of terrain we will encounter and to get a detailed description of the actual length for the quad loop.
Can any of you guys or girls help us out with this information? (we would appreciate it)
This will give us an idea of what way we should set up our machines and give us an interaction of the fuel that will be required.
I also understand that no power or fires are available to keep warm (is this true?)
At night I think it could get down to as low as 6 degrease (that’s cold) even in Dalby
Thanks away |

################# TEXAS ################
Well what a weekend, Prokiwi and my self left Brisbane on friday morning and once arriving in texas we had know idea where the hell we where going.(I blame the navigator)
After a couple of “U” turns we ended up in the right place (man what a nice place it was).
We where first met by les Jensen one of the event organizers for a chat and then we where off to find the best camping spot and get set up. We had just got our quads out of the trailer when les came over and asked if we would like to help Ray the second event organizer mark out the loops for the following day. These guys really know what there doing when plotting a course, Ray rode a 700 efi grisly 4x4 and with his GPS on board he wasn’t an easy guy to catch.
Later that night fellow forum members calberin and utegirl69 arrived after some useless directions which had them backtracking for an hour.
Cold man it was cold, over night it got down to minus 1 and that (and my snoring) made it hard for any one to sleep, there is nothing like an inch of ice on your bike seat to keep your nads company ---- any away 9am briefing and we where away.
Saturdays loop was only 17klm’s long but never the less it was still challenging with a heap of fast flowing sections (I think we did 6 laps through out the day)
Saturday night they put on a spit roast and a band for any one warm enough to walk up for a look (for me it was some cans of sleeping bourbon and I was sounder zzz zzz zzz
Sunday was the main loop 60 odd klm’s (now this was for me the best trail I have ever ridden) it had it all - rocks / choking dust / soft sand / tight trees / and sit down shut up and hold on straights (top speed 98.6klm’s in the bush f#@k yeh)
Unfortunately we only got to do one lap of the big loop as we needed to head home and that was an other amazing story with a rear wheel blow out on the trailer just b4 willobank .
I think prokiwi thought he was pitting for stone brothers racing with speed he was ripping that wheel off
All in all it was an excellent weekend and the guys at aussie quad adventures put on one hell of a well organized trail ride and they also go out of there way to involve the hole family as I would have been happy ridding the junior novice track all day
The aussie quad guys had a new yfz 700Rse and the 700 grisly for any one to test ride
Also thanks to all the fellow quaders that attended
I will definitely be going to there next event
Thanks Daniel aka “HUGE”

| I do have to say it was a great weekend even if it was cold. The ride on saturday was great but i am still annoyed that i couldn't ride on the sunday as i wanted to go through the creek beds. Will be going back next time they have it again. It was good to finally meet "Huge & Prokiwi". For all of you guys/girls that didn't go you missed out on the best weekend. |
