Few of us went for a weekend at Stockton Beach NSW (Near Newcastle)..had a blast..here are some pics.
If anybody hasnt tried sand you are missing out..In my opinion its the best type of terrain for an ATV.

I've only ever ridden dunes on a 2-wheeler and only the once. That was a blast.
Not many dunes around Melbourne for me to ride.
Great pics by the way. _________________ (PeteW's missus)

Awesome photos Benzine.
A mate and I go to stockton a bit. We are amature riders and never see anyone jumping that hard while we are there. But we've been giving it a go. The other week at stockton we thought we'd try some trick jumps check the pics below.
Mike went first and managed to not kill himself on landing
My self; a worse attempt for sure but I also managed to survive this with a one handed landing
ps: this second pic I captured from the video footage, hence the low quality.
So on the subject of fav spots to ride, I rate stockton beach but after a day I'm hanging out for the trails at Sunny Corner. After a visit to the trails, I'm hanging out to go jump the dunes at stockton again. Too bad I kind find both at the same location.
cheers,

There are some tight single trails in the scrub just north of the quad tours containers, opposite the second car park. Blaster babe-I think 2wrs are painful on sand compared to quads, even with paddle tyres which i have one i never intend to use again while ever i have a quad.Have paddles for the quad too but they hook up too well.I enjoy the massive slide action with average tyres.Redted _________________ Cheers-Redted. 04 Raptor |

I've explored a few of the single tracks around stockton. No doubt they are fun, but doesn't really quite satisfy that need to go drifting through the bush at high speed and take on some muddy rutty hill climbs and tricky terain...
cheers

Only if you get caught. lol....
Yeah you need to register it through the rta as conditional rego. Thats not too bad its the insurance that gets you. |

You'll be glad for the insurance if you hit someone and cause them serious injury.... With out it, you'll be paying for their surgery, income while they can't work, physio, theropy fees, chiropractor fees, depression medication costs, plus you may get sued civilly for more, plus you'll be fined by the cops for no rego and no CTP and it could be worse.
Shagger you'll love the dunes with your banshee. Just be wary of drop-offs that you can't see untill you've dropped off it
Anyone got any other pics of recent rides there? _________________ Syd, NSW and wanna try MX! |
