What is the last ride you had and walked away saying WoW ,that was choice!
I went to Stockton Beach by meself on Sunday and caught up with a few Quad boys.Mady as they call him is exactly that! He has been riding stockton for years(even three wheelers) ! I rolled up on my Stock Honda TRX 450 RE 2006(Except a mild engine Job,goes hard !Stock Suspension!) and have not felt exilaration like that in many years . Paul Adams said are you ready for a work out?I said sure !Mady led me and three others for a non stop joy ride through Whoops, weaving in and out trees ,up and sideways on monster steep Dunes, over jumps, step downs ,step ups, flat out straihts...Flatout for hours!(pretty much 11 til 3) Nearly comming unstuck on many occasions... Does not get any better than this ! If you get achance to play follow the leader with a Competant (or Mad !)Rider then you have to give this ago in the Dunes! We then lined up for sand drags Against The mighty Nitros fuelled Bombardia Rotax and sick sounding Banshee(They won ,They ripped !) The Nitro Rotax bike T boned another on aYFZ at the end of the straight and They all end for ended several times, thank God the riders were OK,it looked real bad to say the least!
Thanks Mady,Paul Adams and the doods on the Banshee and Raptor for an unforgetable days riding!
Sore Today and loving it

Stockton beach is the best riding I have done... A group of us have been a few times and it makes a great weekend.
There is a nearby caravan park that has great cabins with plenty of room to park trailers etc. Around the corner there is a cool pub with a nice bistro and we usually go to Nelsons Bay on the second night for a meal.
If you are considering coming from interstate you wont be dissapointed.
Stockton rocks.

Can't this Sunday. But sunday just gone I met up with some locals at stockton who can ride well. I think their names were Adam, Gary, Matt and John, all on yfz, rooster tyres etc. Flat chat keeping up with them and it was a great learning curve. One of the guys had been riding there for something like 15 years. _________________ Syd, NSW and wanna try MX! |

Yeah it's leagal Gatesy. But you do need to get Conditional Rego for your ATV from the RTA. Something like $400 annual, but you can purchase quarterly. This includes CTP insurance. Then after you have a plate you can purchase a stockton beach pass for something like $25 annual.

Sorry Ash you beat me to it!!!!!!!
Yeh, it is legal to ride on Stockton Beach only if you adhere to the following rules
1. must have conditional recreational registration - costs around $400-$500 for a YFZ450
2. must have a port stephens council beach permit - costs about $25.00 per year.
Although you do see a hell of alot of riders without it also - although i would never condone such actions!!!! HAHAHA
Cheers,
Will. |
