hi dangerman
that's a great looking project you've got going there
unfortunately it exceeds the upper limit of engine capacity for inclusion in any Quadriders SA MSA sanctioned enduro.
But there are plenty of other non MSA events that you can probably get to take part in, particularly if you get to know a few more QRSA members that like to lurk on the dark side |

| if you do some research you can probably find some car tyres that will fit it i know that mini tyres fit the front and if you got some ten inch rears you could probably get some fairly fat mini tyres for the back then bobs your uncle nervous as he may be i dont think you will de lam any tyre unless you sustain high speeds for an extended period of time |

Dangerman, I have a set of riken radials (not grooved out) that would fit the front. I bought them to groove them for dirt track but never got to it. They shouldn't distort at high speed like a standard ATV tire. PM me if your interested. I don't know that they'd handle that great in the sand or mud, but for going fast on dirt would be fine. _________________ Proud Member of QuadridersSA

most of the land i have access to are blody big paddocks.
a lot of them are over 1000 acres each with no fences.
totalling around 50000 acres of undulating hills and massive open flats.
so hence why im building this monster... |

fuel tanks done and in and half full of fuel.
exhaust is all done
all wiring in and battery.
motor spins over but dosent fire do to missing rollover sensor from zx10 wiring. it shuts down the fuel pump and the coils when the bike falls over.
it should arive in the next few days, plug it in and im away. |

Long story short..
i started her today for the first time, and after a few minor electrical switch issues (not plugged in) i clicked it into gear and went around the block.
gearing is still a little taller then i would like so i will order a 14 tooth front sprocket (17 tooth currently) and that should fix it.
but wow.. talk about grunt..
the twin exhaust works a treat and i cant wait to strech her legs across a paddock.
the accelaration of this thing is mind boggling.
im celebrating by hitting the 5L Heineken keg i had purchased for her first ride.
More to come |

well i took it out for a quick squirt on dirt this arvo, and in summary.
At 2500rpm in 5th it sits on around 80kmph. Now much to my amusement a slight blip on the throttle (less then half throttle) brought on instant wheelspin as the back tyres went from 80kmph to 160 kmph in less then a second.
The scary thing is the bike makes full power and torque up around 12,000 rpm, yet the torque im unleashing from idle onwards is just insane.
Does any one on here want to sponsor me with back tyres?
im guessing i will be buying new rear tyres every month.
Cheers for now.
Darren
I will try and get some video footage tomorrow of it in action. |

Man.....your medication needs changing, something a bit stronger maybe. Even the pics scare me... keep it away from me.
but on a lighter note.. BRAKES????? I think that will be the loudest voice you hear in your head from now on..lol maybe wider? the exhaust looks a little vulnerable. new sprockets and chain? The spotties will keep the wind from snappin ya neck... that's a bonus. That'd be awsum on a track with slicks but again breaks would be a big prob.
Enjoy the development, and for the love of jesus don't point it at me. _________________ 2006 700 Raptor SE

Several suppliers can get you good tyres and wheels, but if you specifically want ITP's, call Andrew from Austraco in Balarrat on 0400 056 239. _________________ The way to this man's heart is through his esky |
