I'm looking at buying an instant (quick) shade soon and wondering which brands to avoid and which brands others prefer. Just after a 3x3 prefer to save a few dollars if I can but don't want a heap of sh*t that will end up in the bin after the first strong wind. Also wondering where to buy them, I'm in SA? _________________ Proud Member of QuadridersSA

Slik Design arent too bad as long as you look after them, the one we've got at the moment is a Foldy Kanopy one (stupid name) and it has survived a few big winds including being flipped upside-down on the roof of my van with no damage. _________________

As Disco said the OZ-trail are very solid for the price ($300) 3m*3m , Andreas has one aswell as me and ben, Gunny has a Slik designs one which is also good value for money, (my pick would be the OZ-trail), for a little bit more Steve and Jodie from Mildura had one at the renmark enduro looks to be based on the Quickshade design think it was 5*3m and was about $700 and all ally cant remember the name but if you pm four3s they can give you more details. _________________ say NO! to ball sports |

| cant beat the original quickshade, we've had one for more than 10 years and used 100s of times, frame still as good as new, canopy is getting a bit ratty! |

I ordered a 3x3 on wednesday evening and it arrived before i was up this morning. So delivery was very quick i have yet to put it up but so far it looks pretty good. The roof canvas feels to be pretty heavy. They use nylock nuts on there bolts. The joints as they said are not plastic. I would think this is as good as your going to get for under $200. It was $145 with $45 postage. Plus we bought a walll with a zip door. Comes with three walls standard. Will get pics when i can find my camera charger |
