gday crew, its time 2 buy goggles & i want 2 know who uses what. i want an anti fog pair. ive had scott anti fogs b4 & they didnt really do the job properly & when it was cold or raining i couldnt c out of them at all so now im open 2 suggestions of what 2 get & what sort of $$$ would i b looking at. 1 bloke said go buy ski goggles as they offer more vision & have vents so there is constant air passing through the lenses, so what do u all reckon???? _________________ 04 TRX 450r

Have heard that you coat the foam at the vents with baby oil it'll act like an airfilter and catch the dust.Havn't tried it myself though but hey i like to learn from other peoples mistakes i'm not gunna wreck my goggles. _________________ I am old and wise because i survived young and stupid |

Just got a set of Smith Piston series. Mirror blue lenses. Awsome on the dunes. Don't fog at all & not a grain of sand in them.
Have a couple of mates that use Mad Dog snow goggles in the dunes. They a happy with them.
I also use Plexus on my goggles. Makes a big diff. _________________ If it's not upside down, you're not trying hard enough!

i have tried heaps of anti-fog gogs because i wear glasses under mine (and when both your glasses AND your goggles fog up, you're totally blind!). Smith's vented ski goggles work fairly well.
When i was working at Steve Cramer Products i got a pair of Utopia "Too Dirty" which claim to be anti-fog. They are by far the best i've used. The lenses are treated and the foam is so soft and airy there is plenty of ventilation. And that Plexus is great stuff too.
Cramers lost the Utopia rights and i'm not sure who brings them in anymore but we could track them down for you if you're interested? _________________ (PeteW's missus)

dont buy snow goggs
most antifog snow goggles are twin lenses separated by foam, and glued together they have holes in the front to let air in which would let dust in and you would never get them clean, they even still fog up and from experience snowboarding with a helmet the best thing to do is teach yourself to breathe through your nose this way the warm air is directed downwards away from your gogg's maybe this would work for bikes aswell. _________________ say NO! to ball sports |

Scott, twin lens anti-fog's (not with the vents) for winter and Turbo Flow len's for summer (foam on both sides of the vents, never had a problem and Iv'e used that turbo's in winter without too much fuss but it really depends on how wet it is.....the more expensive scott's tend to have better foam on them too. _________________

| hey dave thanks for the advice about breathing through your nose. i tried it and it works real good. sure beats trying to breath through my ears like i used to and undoubtedly better than through my a#$@ as i am known to do on occasion. |
