There has been a crackdown at Redhead lately so be careful.
The Hippies running Redhead are right against quads and trikes because apparently they cause damage to the noxious imported weeds that were planted by the rutile miners after they went through and bulldozed the 6,000 year old native coastal forest. The rutile miners then planted South African Bitou bush to stabilise the sand then leased the area to sand quarry miners who then raped the area. In come the Hippies and they are all for allowing 4WD's that are causing as much damage as the previous users. Now there is not one square inch over there that has not been driven on by maniacs who are mainly brainless P platers. Leaving rubbish, broken bottles , burnt out cars, almost running over people on the beach and acting like general f***wits is now the normal over there. The Hippies spend their time planting a few scrawny plants around the entrance, dragging big rocks around and putting up signs that say "4WD's this way". Then they have write up's in the newspaper and do letterbox drops saying how they want to ban the terrible ATV's from the place because of the awful damage they inflict. These are the same vehicles that leave a small imprint in the sand which is gone by the next day. These same Hippies say in the leaflets to go to their Facebook page and give your opinion and that is impossible because it can't be done.
There is a Hippy hiding in the salt bush, release the hounds.

HAHAHA. yeah i found the hippy shack the other day. I was having a good old chat to one of the local Belmont Cops up there checking out a burnt out landrover and pajero. He didn't seem to be concerned about me being up there. He said it was mainly a crack down on the people who ride along the bike track with unregistered bikes to get to the beach entrance.

don't bother getting a quad.

I recently bought again and sold it 6 months later. Stockton is dead.. all the good riding spots are banned. The spots you can ride get boring very quick!

I'm surprised you know who have not tried to put a claim on this area.
They recently got Newcastle Post Office for free. It's like my cat getting getting a violin. Now I've got it what am I going to do with it.
