G'day guys...couple of questions for the forum.
I've recently got my hands on a Grizzly 660 farm quad. Appreciate not really a racing machine, but actually goes pretty well. Do any members ride these quads and are they still appropriate for trail riding/days out etc ?
Also, I have a small piece of land close to Mount Franklin but it only takes a few minutes to get from one end to the other and back again......feeling a bit cooped up....Where can I really give it a run in Daylesford/Hepburn/Mount Franklin area?
Any comments/assistance/suggestions appreciated.
Regards

welcome aboard Glen, you'll find the grizz a more than capable trail bike, and there area few of that still like to hit the trails, so will have to get in touch sooner or later and work out a ride, there are few of us still around. _________________ 2005 KFX700

thanks very much for your comment. did a bit more reading last night and as you say seems to be a few grizzlies around the traps.....what about places to ride legally (or almost/kind of/could be legally?)
have a pice of crown land up near our place and it has a trail bike path through it......guess me and my little grizzly not going to do any more damage than a trail bike is it?

gday glen, welcome to the world of atv's. ive ridden with a few big blue grizzly's & they do the job, they dont blast into outer space like the sports quads do but they catch up. keep in contact with a few of the guys & ull get to ride different places. yogie knows a few bloke with property & they all a friendly bunch so u shouldnt have to many dramas...cheers. _________________ 04 TRX 450r

You know the style riding I like, let me know where your planning to go and some dates and I'll let you know if I can make it.
Now lets see if you actually come through this time.
I seem to remember a few conversations over the years that started this way that never went any further that this.
Apparantly your the same as Big JB, isn't that right Gunna?!?!? |

Listen here, man who sits to piss.
I remember you stating last year that you were going to arrange a trail ride, what happened to that?
Woody, Bumble Bee and I have arranged a few rides for this year already, it’s called forward thinking.
(Its safe to assume that it won't be dusty in WINTER)
Or are you waiting till the last minute to do something?
I didn't say anything about the ride that PETEW arranged, why would I?
He arranged a day's ride (a good one as far as I'm told) and let me know when it was on,
unfortunately I couldn't make it hopefully I'm free on the next one.
You (and Yogie) have been on a few different rides, organised by different people at different locations, you've seen how its done.
Its time to arrange one yourself
(Assuming that I can ever fix all the damage to your KFX Yogie) |

Going for another trail ride again soon Yogie,
that'll be 2 weekends away riding with the boys since you proclaimed that you were actually going to organise one.
If your green machine isn't be back together by then, do you want to use one of my kids E'ton 90's.
I can restrict if a bit more for you if the power is too much for you to handle? |

Can I hear a irratating sound, oh it must be you Big bird, I can garentee you wont turn up regardless when and where I do actually do it. And I think we could all come up with a list of possible excuses why you wont turn up. I'll start off with one.
Aliens kidnapped me and inserted anal probe, into me....

"when and where I do actually do it" - Are we still talking about riding quads Yogie?
Or are you still ever optimistic that you will get laid again with somebody else in the room?
I think it'll be safe to assume that the ride you "organise"
(if that’s what you call something that will turn to "profanity removed")
will be at Goodie's place, where the cops chased you guys the first time you went
and most quads wouldn't either start or keep running the second.
Count me in, just give me enough notice to put my quad on the trailer and drive there.
No offence (ok a little offence) to the Goodies, they complained a lot about the tracks we went on everytime they came.
We do a lot harder stuff now (and so do you - somehow).
Why don't you organise a ride somewhere else? |
