I am chasing some info on 2 quads as i am unsure on what to lean towards .. so a little help please Laughing I am tossing up on a YFZ450r and a LT500r . im not intrested in racing anymore but just to go out and have fun i have had YFZ450r quads since DEC 2008 when they were released up to a few months ago.and i will admit it cost me a fortune in parts with the amount of things that went wrong with it . thats why im looking at a LT500 as its 2 stroke and simple .

I just want to go out in the bush and have fun with the wife and kids and that is all with the odd ride to the sand dunes . My wife is etting a YFZ450r as she had one and wants another but i am still unsure what way to go ?

Any good /bad points out there ??

Make sure you get the latest model you can. One with seven head studs instead of six studs. LT500's have a habit of breaking the cylinder casting around the cylinder base studs as well. Can also be a bugger to kick start if you don't have the knack.

If it's just for leisure, have you considered a Raptor 700R?
More comfy and torque that those bikes?
Just a suggestion.. Good all rounder with reverse. Nice dash display showing your hrs/kmph/clock/odo etc.

I got one had it for 3 months and ended up selling it LOL .. i have has the bones broken in my right foot and reset as they were growing off on a angle , i had this done about 1 1/2 years ago . and the pressue of kicking the bike over was still to much for my foot causeing it to swell up .. but as for the bike wow it went like a shower of poo it outrun the 450 but they would need to have some good suspention put on them. if you get good shocks on them they would be a beast .. i have now got a 450r and a 700 raptor so no more kick starts for me . Smile
