Hey goat.
Was having a look after the rain we had the other day. It's only 15 minutes from my place.
There was a few people out. Which old fella were you .
More updates. Got a light bar. Genuine Polaris one. Retail for $700 or something. Dunno. Got it off the fella I go hunting with for $200.
Brand spankers.
Ghetto fab!
Flash mount bar.
More updates later today. The baybay woke up. Uncle Troy is on his way for baby sitting duties however. |

Your tray looks really neat and solid, your hunting dogs must be happy mate hav'in carpet to sit and stand on makes the 800 one big unit. Your LED light bar looks good-a cheap pic up too, might take the 8 bar off the 800 and put it on the 500 and buy a 12 bar light for the Terralander. We went away for a 7 day camp-ride recentley with friends--11 quads 14 people, our youngest Jacob 17 drove the 800 most of the time while I was trip leader on the old 500 SWB he says he likes the power and the engine braking, carnt say I blame him either! will put some pics up soon... _________________ Get down and dirty... |

i have just fitted a full performance exhaust to my x8 (terralanda) sounds great and is so loud, not been stopped by police --yet! have any of you guys fitted performance upgrades to yours? the exhaust i have was made in sweden and they state that it was designed to work using the std ecu/efi , hope so because i don't want it to run "lean" !! my road tax is due for renewal at the end of the month (£135)
i love this quad !!!

| Does anybody know a good website to order parts for CF Moto X5. I am in the States and these quads are just recently being sold here and I am having problems finding aftermarket parts. Looking to get a nice exhaust system and so far the only one I have found comes from Sweden for about $600 US plus shipping at about another $100. |

No mate, not because your a Pommie, or because the other guy is a Yank, and nothing to do with the rugby, cricket or anything else like that.
We live in a place 12 thousand miles from you. It's as big as Europe and only 22 and a half million people.
Our atv market isn't even 1% of the USA, and we can count quad accessory specialist businesses in our entire country on less than 10 fingers.
Both quads and accessories are imported here for the most part, and normally at very inflated prices.
We don't have much in the way of economical choices here.
The inquiries such as those made by OS visitors to our site, particularly on this thread, are obviously in ignorance of our peculiar circumstances.
We can, however, show you riding in dry and wet tropics, deserts and areas so sparsely populated that they measure distances very differently to your standards. Bear Grills calls it adventure, we just call it camping.
For the record, when my exhaust gave up on my CF 500, I took it to a exhaust specialist who makes things, not resells them.
Nice and quiet, which is of particular importance when trying to not be noticed, and very pleasant on some of our longer trips. _________________ Remember. We elect politicians, but we have to deal with bureaucracy.

i joined this forum because i was considering buying the 800 terralanda, which was a new product to the uk, so i was looking around for info etc in areas of the world that have had these quads for a while. i do appreciate that oz offers a completely different kind of quadding experience compared to the uk, i for example have to ride 20 miles into surrey to find a few miles of "green-lanes" to do a bit of off- roading so most of my riding is done on public roads incl motorways so this is a little different to what you guys do. i was pleased with the out come of my research and bought the quad. _________________ ride quadzilla 450 sport, scorpion exhaust, uprated jet, 15/36 sprockets, lowered and widened |

There you go micksport.
You have to ride 20 miles, sharing it with cars and lorrys, to get to a riding area.
We have very limited road access in our country, but massive amounts of areas available for riding, if not exactly legal.
My next club get together involves travelling a 1000 miles to get in a casual 320 mile ride over 3 days with my club. A few 100ft high sand dunes and 3 states and territories to cross doing it. Then another 1000 miles home.
This ride is fully legal btw.
Like you said, totally different to the UK. _________________ Remember. We elect politicians, but we have to deal with bureaucracy.

Hi mates,
Hope you can all help an Aussie based in Canada.
I bought a used X8 recently.
On my first ride the battery died and I had to be towed back to camp.
I've been looking for a new battery for over a week, but haven't found a replacement rated at 30AH in the available size constraints... the most common is the YTX20L which is only rated at 18AH.
Can anyone give me some advice on what battery to replace the stock one with.
I would go to the dealer, but I don't have any nearby...
Thanks. _________________ Jorge

Hi all, I have recently bought the X8, it replaced my 2004 Polaris 600 AWD and I needed something to cart the missus when we go camping, I did research them thoroughly before spending my money and I do like what I read and if those Russians cant kill 'em no-one can (most videos on Youtube are from Russia).....couple of things, where or what is the restrictor I haven't been told by dealer about this? There is one thing that is giving me the shits, it feels like the steering is loose when you go over any bumps/rocks, I have had it back to the dealer to check and they said there all like that. If you bounce the front end up and down whilst stationary you can feel it so it must be in the suspension but is relayed through steering, I have adjusted front shocks so there the same and tried different settings but to no avail. I am going to wind the big nut on top of shocks down to see if that makes a difference. How does yours feel?
I have added a Quadboss Weekender box from the states for a bit more security for the missus.
Regards Millsy |
