Hi guys, new to this site but been quading for a while. I had a CFMoto500 that I had been using for trekking and just recently changed to an Adly 600
and thought I would express my views on this quad. It is a bit lower than what I am used to so the one drawback, actually two drawbacks if you can count them as so is that it is lower and wider than most 4x4 quads so you have to adjust your way of thinking about approaching certain terrain, once you've got that into your head it ceases to become a problem.
Being lower and wider, stability is a major plus as I was actually buying a CF800 when I saw the Adly and the stance is what sold me, I had just recently had an accident on the CF500 due to it's COG and the CF800 was a lot more top heavy, my opinion only as I haven't ridden one so no expert, but... To sum up though the Adly seems to be a cross over of a sports quad and a utility, handles well, no shortage of power and as yet no adherent problems though only done 250k's. Came with winch/remote and 14'' rims with Bighorn Maxxis tyres as standard. The motor is a Sym engine, so not new to the market place. Riding it is an absolute pleasure though after 4 hours of riding I did notice the strain in my shoulders which I hadn't on the CF500, though the steering is a lot lighter on the Adly. One thing to be done is to put on bash plates which I will have to make. The Adly, relatively new here is well known in Europe so no accessories available locally.

Looks very similar to the TGB Blade 550.

Update for the Adly, I have decided to install a UHF set. After looking at what was available in the market place I decided to go with the GME TX3100 plug and play, the main factor being the overall size of this unit. I intend to mount it above the dash pod.
Obviously I wont be using the standard mount so I'll make up my own with Perspex cover.

Well the UHF is now installed with the speaker to the bottom and a cover to help protect the unit, the beauty about this install, plug and play, so simple I can then move it to my drive or any other vehicle if I had to. Just have to find the range now though it's only meant for quad to quad.

Hi Husky, thanks for the comment, this new phase of the build should be up your alley . Making bash plates. So simple just cut out a piece of alloy and away you go, easy, so I headed off and returned with a sheet of 4mm 5083 and a sheet of 3mm checkerplate. I was going to go all checkerplate to start with but I was informed that checker wouldn't slide so well, good point, until I researched other plates and they all have cutouts or similar that would prohibit easy sliding anyway, mute point. Anyway, I ended up with both. The 4mm mill finish will do the centre plates and the 3mm checker will do the arm/cv protectors, easier to fold .
Well I put the quad in the assume position ripped off the plastic fantastic and had a real good look underneath. Not going to be that simple after all. By my reckoning and I could be wrong here, but anything running across the quad ain't gunna help it's sliding attributes . So first up I'm going to have to modify the footwell braces and add in something running lengthways and extend it to the front of the plastics behind the front wheel. Anyway a few pics to start with, any advice by those who have been down this path before highly appreciated.

Is it just me, or does the front drive shaft (from trans to front diff) appear to be on a hideous angle?

I think it's the angle the photo was taken on that's deceiving as it shortens the distance that it actually is.

Started on the footwell braces so that they now cover the footwell and allow better bracing of the skidplates.
