Was thinking on the next set of rear tyres of going from 20 to 22 inch diameter
Bike currently under geared anyway
Ride a lot of rocky trails, trying for some more ground clearance
Any downsides besides a bit heavier
Any one tried this _________________ Yamaha Raptor 700

It depends a lot on the actual size and weight of the tyre.
I have seen some brand 22's slightly smaller than 20's of another brand.
4, 6 or 8 ply can make a huge difference to weight as well.
Negatives:
If you are jumping around like an MX rider, you will immediately feel the extra weight. Big rears feel like big ugly flywheels that sap your engine response and power delivery. They also tend to throw you around in the air and steer your Quad a bit too.
Positives:
A cushier ride, taller gearing and better ground clearance, so less underside damage in rocks etc. The dulled response can make it easier to get power to the ground with less wheel spin, so they are better for any loose surfaces and tasks like hill climbs to some degree. _________________ Can-Am X Team

| do it. as fatz said it will be great. I see you have a raptor 700 and by the description of the riding you do, the taller tyres will be a significant improvement |
