Hi Guys

Im fairly new to the forum, in fact im probably the newest member.

Im looking at getting myself a sports ATV mostly for the sand dunes in SA and some mudding.

Right now im probably going to get into a topic that's already been discussed 100 times but... I have looked into a few second hand Jap Quads and at the moment nothing seems to be going for a decent price, but on the other hand Atomik seems to have some decent looking quads i.e the Feral which is kind of in my price bracket.

I looked through the forum and most of the threads were quite old about the Atomik quads so i was wondering if the quality of the products have improved or should i put my quad dreams on hold for alittle more?

Can anyone who has purchased one recently give me feedback.

Thank you for your feedback in advance.

Thanks
Oxy

hi

i bought one through a dealer about 3 months ago for my son as a first quad and in 12 days the back wheels fell off , the wheel nuts toor out of the rim in the middle of a corner as well as a list of outher things falling off or stopped working . had it replaced after hours of phone calls and the new one lasted 7 days . no good at all , save up and buy a brand name

cheers
john

hi and welcome aboard,
bout $3k is the minimum i would spend on something.
and it would "Only" be a jap bike.

for that starter point probably a Yamaha would be my pick for cost and reliability but depends on whats around.

My advice is to look for a Suzuki/Kawasaki 400 or the Honda TRX400. All very reliable, safe decent quads.
