Looks like the study was written backwards

These are the outcomes we want to show....... Quads are dangerous

Find deaths - blame quads

Interpret data to blame the quads

Even though their own investigations show that it was always rider fault
the quad was blamed.
(maybe thats how I interpret their investigations and data)
How do they substantiate that it is safer for a 15 yr 11 mth old 6ft 3 person 80kg to ride a 90cc quad ??
then jump on a 450+cc when they turn 16.

Was intrigued to see that most of the accidents where an end over end . It was also interesting to see that no accidents were on a "big" cc rating

Mrs Gaiter I think that you will find that they have said that it was safer for a 15 year old to be riding a 90cc rather than a 450 because utility quads don't have graduated cc ratings like sports quads ie 90, 125 250 etc Also the reality is that it is easier to police an age rather than a wieght/ hieght measurement Our labour laws have similar benchmarks but there is a clause that says the child can ride any quad that the manufacturer recomends for that age group ie raptor 90 up to about big 11 yearold/ small 12 yearold then on to 125 then 250 at 14/15 and so on That being said seeing my boss's son (13) cutting donuts on their 350 honda 2wd with no gear on pisses me off because if it goes wrong he's definitly not big or strong enough to get it back under control
