 |
|
G'day
i've been thinking about getting a winch for my polaris 550 x2 and was wondering if any of you guys have used either the miller utility 3500 winch with synthetic rope from Aussie Powersports or the warn RT30 with steel rope from Make Tracks ARB, with both i have to get a mounting bracket to suit, so if anyone knows where i can get one let me know
im just after some reviews on the above winches as im stuck on which one to get, the miller one is $120 cheaper and comes with the synthetic rope where as the warn comes with the wire cable and im considering them mainly due to there name and reputaion, or am i just paying for the name these days
the warn one i can get locally (Perth Based) the other from over east
any feedback would be muchly appreciated
thanks |

geez thats a bloody good price, where abouts did you get those from especislly at that price, the ones i've seen have been around $400
obviously you have had no dramas with getting winches overseas, im only worried about if i have to send it back for warrantee purposes, postage would be alot |

Mate we bought a Miller..... they are "profanity removed" ..... we now have a warn.... 1st electric motor died ..... dealer fixed it.... while still at the dealer the the button stuck on and snapped the ccable shaft.... next running the winch out the housing shattered into 3 pieces .... cost us $600 plus fitting cause the dealer said they were good..... lol
Just cheap rubbish mate

I would strongly recommend a warn winch, there is a reason they are popular because they work properly and have no issues. Well said husky _________________ Darren Colbert

+1 for Warn, if you get one from a Polaris dealer they come with the right bracket. _________________

Buy the Warn, I compete in Winch comps and originally started with a Warn 3.5 and it never let me down. I now run a Warn 9.0RC. The only non Warn winch I tried failed in the first comp.
Spend the extra bucks and you will never regret it.
Also, check out Rocky Mountain ATV for prices to, they are normally pretty cheap and fast freight. _________________ 2012 Polaris RZR XP Turbo

Absolute junk winch. I have a burnt out one in my workshop that we use as a paperweight. When I tried to have it replaced under warrantee they stopped responding to my emails. Really poor company. _________________ 2012 Polaris RZR XP Turbo

I have a Viper winch with Amsteel cable mounted on my Commander and have had no problems with it to date. It was easy to fit and has gotten me out of trouble on a number of occassions. _________________ I'm not suffering from insanity, I'm enjoying it!!! |
