The reviews are good, but they always are.
I'm having a work break at the moment, and when that passes I'm taking one out.
So I'll let you know.

Thanx Dino Wink look forward to your thoughts on the 800, had a close look at one at our Tassie dealer they r good looking machine & are well finished off Razz I noticed on new CF brochure all of their bikes say "engine braking system" something our earlier models did not have so suspect they would be much better than ours. As u can imagine our trail/exploritive rides can be quite hilly to say the least sometimes Razz Nige...

Im loving mine. Only put about 100kms on it so far. Going for an all day ride on the weekend. Can't wait to get the governor removed next week. Goes hard for only opening at about an 1/8th of the throttle. Pulled mine apart the other day to check the quality and make sure everything was good. A few of the guard bolts and stuff were a bit loose and I noticed it gets quiet hot under the seat. So I'm installing a 240mmx240mm thermo to help push the air out and just keep everything a bit cooler. It's going in place of where the tool keeper thing is underneath the seat. Very happy with build quality and a 2 year manufacture warranty and the price pushed it to the top of my pick.

Hey moto. Ride was great. Managed to get it to the shop for its first service and the governor removed. Wow. 80kmh drifting about on flood plains was awesome. Great bike! I got it in silver and black. Adding an Ogio front bag tomorrow and making a new rear tray for it utilizing the standard mounting points so I can get a few dogs on it and carry a bit more gear.

Sweet Terra, havin my limiter removed tomoro ready for a muddy ride on satdy south of Hobart. Not sure if I want to push the big girl too far sideways as had a throw-off early in the year on our 500A on the gravel at only 30k's which wasnt real good Sad watch the quad wobble on two wheels deciding if it wanted to slam dunk me or get back onto its tyres--luckly the latter Razz I will be putting two fuel cells on the front our mine and have the cooler/warmer for the rear, not much room on the back rack so reckon u will be extending this to get more room for the dogs and luggage Wink Need to put some photos of your 800 up here as I havent seen a sivler one in the bush. I saw the grey one on You-tube which looked the goods with the black trim also like the looks of the bronzey coloured one too Razz

Hahaha. I'm a heavy set fella so I do wonders for the COG when I'm laying flat opposite of the way it's sliding.

Yeah will be removing the old one and the spare seat. Will make a mud/dust cover out of sheet for the gap removing the second seat will leave. So will gain a foot there and will extend it another foot out the back. Hanging off the back will be a recovery bag and under neath the tray will be a water bladder and 10liters extra fuel. I'm choosing a dog wall rather then a cage to save on weight and it'll be a lot less bulky and hopefully snag less on over hangs. Will make a little gps plate picking up two of the bolts on the steer stem and mount my garmin gps/tracker on it.

What extra fuel will you be carrying and how? Like a low profile rack one?

And got a OGIO bag for the front.

Will get some action shots when we get back from Thailand and Bali in a few weeks.

Good pics Terra, frame work looks the goods-nice and strong Razz What are you coating it in mate? Like the colour of ya 800 wished I had that now Sad but they only had the one machine (red) when I went to look n buy! look forward to the bush pics. I measured up last nite and will fit 2-7.5 lt Rotopax fuel cells to the front of my 800 so will put some pics up once they get on, also will be looking to get some spacers so to make my 800 a bit more stable on our hilly stuff Wink Have a good trip away Cheers Nigel...

Hey Nigel. It'll be gal dipped when it's got a few more braces in place and I've made two little legs for the front of it that will pick up another two mounting points. So it'll be held on to the original little tray then the back bracing and another two points where the stock second seat covers. Should be well atrillinlly able to hold an extra 60 - 70kg on top of the 100kg from stock. Then will paint it matte black and put a marine ply floor that can be lifted to access the fuel and stock storage.

Hey Terra, looks like u have made one solid unit Razz it will handle all u have planned for out in the N.T. bush, look forward to seeing the finished product
I have decided to put a basket either side of my cooler/warmer of my quad, already had the basket plus the fuel containers so saved more money now for actual quad fuel Razz
