Just wondering if anyone (remembering I'm in NZ) can recommend a good spray paint for painting bike plastics I have a early 90's WR250 bought as a rolling frame and 4 boxes of pieces Some plastics are damaged, some are mismatched and some I will have to make/ modify I don't need showroom shine but am after something that won't peel off in 5 minutes Thanks for any thoughts _________________ Tremble with fear - I've had an idea |

I know Super Auto has some as well as Repco here in Aus, But i cant recommend any as i hadn't used any as yet but will do some time this month.
I did ask about it to a store rep and i was told to make sure you get a exterior plastic paint and not interior. |

dont know if this will help, saw it on TV the other day and thought it looked pretty good! I know it says its for wheels but I presume that would make it pretty hard wearing...

Plastic Spray Film |
This stuff looks the same as plasti dip. You can get it on ebay and plenty of guys have covered their bikes and even cars with this stuff.
Here is a link to a guy that did his KTM. Looks like it works OK and there is a range of colours.

I looked at the ad and followed the link The KTM looks awesome buuuuut it's a road bike According to the thread to remove the film you just put a nick in it and then peel it off. Me being me I'd ride it through a blackberry or gorse bush within 10 minutes - multiple nicks _________________ Tremble with fear - I've had an idea |

I'm sure if you check ebay you will find quite a few second hand plastics for the bike. Even if you have to get more than one of the same piece you will end up with what you need.
Painted plastic looks dated and tired quite quickly. _________________ Cheers,
