i haft to agree with wa5 as well we did the china quad thing like most but when you go around a corner and the frigin wheel tears off or you go over a small bump and the rear shock comes through the bloody seat you got to ask your self wtf!!

the bull sh!t about some jap bike parts are made in china are Chinese quads as well is just laughable and showing one ignorance, the difference is company's like Honda and a like build there parts to a standard with quality material and use a quality controlled system where the cowboy Chinese bikes are made out sub standard materials just to make a buck company like Honda, Yamaha could make there parts on the bloody moon and there still be better than the other sh!t made on these cheap bike

the re-sellers of these cheap bike hide behind the its an off road bike so no warranty and not our responsibility, but 1 day some will get seriously hurt or even killed due to the failed part on the bike then the sh!t will hit the fan. then watch the morons who think there making a quick buck and duping unsuspecting people that there buying a quality unit when in fact there plain and simple rubbish

so to go back the the original question should there be allowed to run them on mca track NOPE

oh almost forgot "its due to lack of maintenance" give me a break all the maintenance in the world wont save these pieces of crap from killing some one if you think that crap! take 1 of your bolts off and get it brinell tested you may get a surprise to find you can go to woolies and grab some cheese which would be stronger eek

And MX5 i never said anything about leaving the forum, I stated it made me think twice about joining it. So why the personal attack?. Got a case of SDS?.

If somebodies' opinion (in this case, mine) stops you from visiting this site, (END).. Joining / visiting... potatos/ potartos...

Personal Attack? ... (Royz wrote)
This is one of the most bias threads ever. Almost made me not want to join this forum.
If i was a quad bike it would be racist. As a Chinese quad bike owner i find it insulting, (END).

You just slammed those of us with a negative opinion of what is, in truth, a third rate product, as... Biased, Racist and insulting, I thought my reply was fairly well measured.

There is a guy on here who rides one of the better Chinese Quads (A CFmoto 500), I can see how he might jump to the defence of his ride, but you have a basket case, that was nothing special when it was new..(unless there is something else in your shed?).. not sure that gives you the experience to argue the point, Damned sure it doesnt give you the right to make personal attacks on some of us in the process..

Reminds me of the P plater in the shitbox VN V6 who swears HSVs are the best vehicle in the world... but the closest he's ever come to one is the poster on his wall.. (theres your peronal attack).

LOL you make me laugh SDS. Your attacks on a scrap box project shows you have nothing to offer then wanting brownie points over a project that has nothing to do with this thread. Rolls eyes
And the comment about the hsv? WTF are you on about? Where in this thread have i stated China quads are the best? Let alone better made? I believe i said there crap vs know brands. Honestly take some medication.

Everyone is intitled to ride on a MX track - If that person is indangering others then i agree %100 some thing should be done. But to ban one bread of bike based on where its made - is just pathetic as it shows in the thread.

People were getting injured and killed way before the china quad/pitbike market exploded back in 2002 and they have been out selling everything 10 to 1 (50cc to 150cc). So being a danger to others just from its country of origin does not add up with so many china bikes / ATV's out there.
So compared to known brands and there tally of serious/fatal injury's the china quads hold there own.

The clubs have every right to prevent someone from racing based on their bike, they run the track and are responsible for ensuring the safety of competitors on behalf of MA. I don't think the original post was meaning to ban all chinese bikes from the motocross track, just determining a system that will allow them to be classified as safe for competition because sometimes scrutineering isn't enough.

Show some statistics to back up your claim. There is absolutely no doubt that the build quality of some Chinese bikes is downright scary and dangerous.

Sure you're proud of the amount of effort you've put into restoring your 2 chinese quads and what to defend them, but do you honestly think no limitations should be placed on what is and isn't safe when people are competing or just riding on a motocross track?

I agree %100 that safety must come first and China imports are cheaply made compared to known brands. But to ban them out right and dividing a community is a bias option.

Again i never said anything about racing - That's a different story.

And my scap box project has nothing to do with this, Where have i ever said i am going to use it on a MX track? Let alone race it? Guys plz read the post before you comment.

I own china 2 quads but i have 4 other motor bikes" plus a Triumph Speed tripple road bike. My options are based on out right banning of all china quads on MX tracks.

However if its such a head ache for Brand name ATV riders then they should start a partition.

There are valid points to most of the posts (opinions) but where we are right now with regards to rules and regs are about right. All of the things that are resonable to do are done; policing those rules are another thing.

All quads break.......think about it.

More rules will set us down a path we will regret.
