Hi there,
If I buy an axle from the usa, will i have to wait ages for it and have trouble with customs etc??
i dont mind waiting for it but if there are any costs involved such as import tax or anything it might not be worth it.
I bought a sticker kit and seat cover from the US and got it within 2 weeks no dramas, but thought something big, heavy and expensive like an axle might be a bit different??
anyone with import experience please reply!
thanks, mark. _________________ 2002 SE Banshee |

You wont have any problems unless your axle is full of white powder.....you can import items to the value of $1000 without incuring import tax's this threshold was raised not so long ago, best tip is to get the company shipping to you to use USPS (United States Postal Service) as they have the cheapest air freight to Australia,FED-EX & UPS are all very expensive, try JLATV in Northern California my friends there will take care of you no problem at all.

just ordered a dura blue eliminator 2+2 axle, and an "all balls" axle bearing kit for my banshee from rocky mountain atv in the states. all up it cost me $560 AUD delivered to my door, should be here within 8 days the guy said.
dont want to sound like a toss or bag anyones product but I looked at the JMC and nearly bought it until i found out its not as long as the dura blue plus i got the dura blue with bearing kit for $35 less than just the axle from JMC...
on another note, rockymountain want me to scan my credit card, licence and a credit card statement and fax these images to them to prove the card is mine. is this normal??
thanks, mark. _________________ 2002 SE Banshee |

the scanning of the credit card etc is not normal although its understandable. in the states they check your id when purchasing on credit unless you have a credit card with the pic on it. i havnt dealt with rocky mountain but lots have and im sure its all above board. _________________ getting your quad around just got a whole lot easier www.ozcustomquadcarriers.com.au |

| I am very negotiable on axle prices and on the Durablue warranty, you will have to deal with Durablue directly and they will not mail out a replacement, UPS all the way and that runs out at around $250 and the customer has to pay that. |

I have just bought a bunch of stuff from the us. I paid for them in full via pay pal last friday 11th of may and i received them on Wednesday 16th of may.
I was very supprised to see that the shipping was so fast. I also save myself $150 on my total price. Excellent service
