I am sure someone from the Quad Commission would be able to tell us Jimmy14.

They do frequent this site and comment on other posts so should be able to tell us what they plan for 2013.

Lets hope that each and every single submission is in the minutes with rationalles etc why they do and dont support each and every submission.

When they submit their minutes they should appear here with all the other minutes, that are already in and have been distibuted to all SCB's

i don't know how reliable the source of this info is, but i'm told the consideration of making the upper 4 stroke limit 250cc, is due to improved technology, of 250 four strokes. this may be true, and someone please correct me if i'm wrong, but that would make the apex 250 the only competitive option in a four stroke for this class. if it goes that way, then so be it, but i for one can't afford an apex 250, along with all the other quads i have. i would be putting all my financial resources into one class, and one type of riding. i'd have to sell my bike , my missus bike and the older of the two youngster's bikes to put one kid out on a mx track, therefore foregoing the recreational activities the rest of the family enjoy. simply, that wouldn't happen, the "racer kid" would have to be content with his raptor, and if not competitive so be it (not that he's a super star, but i'm a firm believer that a rider develops their skills better if they can be competitive, not necessarily on the podium, just in the mix with the others). i'm fairly confident however , that being spanked on the track would be a discouragement. (this i do have experience in but due to my ability not my equipment lol)

has anyone else heard of this?? or in fact any other reason why the change is being debated (if indeed it is)
has there been any safety concerns with having the upper limit at 300cc?
i had a look at the minutes of the commissions as directed by bethwyn's post, and see that speedway have opted to re-instate 350cc as the upper limit, after having been reduced in the previous GCR's. they therefore don't see a safety concern with higher capacity.

i'd like to getsome idea if this rumour is likely to become a truemour, and the reasoning behind the decision to do so.

what about a gas gas 200 36hp engine in the apex as production ???
cost affective 2 stroke , great for parents less cost ,or more complaints.
started in the 90cc class aaa ,continued in the 200 +300 class.
evolution , should we go back to blasters , or horse and cart .
any one know where we all should go from here.
please put your thoughts to ma to help this sport grow.

i'm not against improvements grant, just want to know what's going on and if my family can afford to be part of the sport's future, as i said we all ride but only one races, and if the decision heads down the suggested path then so be it. i admit i know little about the apex 250 and can only go by what i;ve been told, and the costs i've been advised put us out of considering it. as i also said, i wouldn't be stopping my whole family from riding, and if the young fella still wanted to race he could. i just want to know where this is heading.
i understand that the rules will come out when all the i's are dotted and t's are crossed but jimmy has got wind of a rumour, someone started. i'd like to know what basis this came about, and can the source of the rumour confirm a change at this time?
i guess you might say i'm trying to find out if jimmy is half correct or half cocked with his question

i see your view regarding putting views to MA pro-shark, and will consider doing so, ut i'm not sure if i'd be helping or hindering the process. there are no doubt better qualified to comment than me, on both sides (assuming there are only 2).

Maybe there should be for the jnrs. a 200cc class. 250cc class and a 300cc class. or take all the competiveness out of this class and run as a non comp. class. Then it wont matter if ur a cheque book racer or not
