Rebuilt the top end of my banshee and when it's kicked over it goes straight to a redline sort of rev and has to be switched off. Checked all the areas that there can be an air leak and seems sweet.
Any ideas running a pro design head and mikuni carbs if that helps

Hi there, check that you have the Carbs on the ame side that they were when you pulled it down. It sounds like you may have them mixed up

Carbs on the right way as the chokes are in the same position as before. Could be the slides will rip them out and go from there

I've had a simulaur issue with that, mine was 1st ride after new rings, i replaced the T.O.R.S. system (Throttle over ride system) with this kit

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Motion-Pro-Throttle-Kit-TORS-Eliminator-Yamaha-YFZ350-Banshee-1987-2006-/221006168204?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3374fe808c

The prob was LHS carbie slide sticking, i've bored out overside since and no issues. Make cleaning your carb slides part of your mantance, every month or 2. Alloy on Alloy wears and produces "BLACK SH!T" at this causes them to stick...
I have a banshee manual, so give me a call if u wanna copy

Good Luck,
