At QRCV rd 2 last weekend, rumour it is likely to be at Maffra.

Rang MA yesterday, decision hadnt been made yet.
But she said there was applications for 2007 and 2008 which is great !

I'm sure alot of people need to book holidays etc, so the sooner they{they whoever they are} make a decision the better !

I think it will come down to what WEM want to do with it as they have the rights to it for the next couple of years but it looks pretty positive for Vic for this year.

The applications for the hosting of both 2007 and 2008 M X Quad national Championships will be decided at our annual meeting of commissioners on the weekend of 12 th / 13th May 2007. Hope this is of help to you.

I heard in the wind, it couldnt be released until all the commission meeting minutes were all finalised, those in themselves should be some interesting reading.

Hi Bethwyn
The 2007 and 2008 national championships were discussed and decided upon and there will be no big surprises as to were the 2007 event will be held. We did make a recommendation that the National title be held in the same month every year (Nov). As for all the other quad proposals, the majority of them being from W.A. was as you say "very interesting" I did put a very strong and aggressive case forward in supporting the many submissions put before the commissioners. I believe that I was quite successful with my rather intense negotiations (some called it blackmail) and am hopeful of a very positive and progressive outcome for the Australian Quad movement as a whole.
Only time will now tell, we will now have to sit back and await the final decissions from M.A.s board of directors who will be meeting sometime next week I believe.

All jokes aside, yes I do know were the 2007 & 2008 Quad M.X. National Championships are going to be held because I was one of the Commissioners who made the recommendations to the Board of Motorcycling Australia. When this information is released by the board, the successful promoting clubs will be notified first (as a courtesy) and then it will be published on the M.A. website and distributed to all S.C.B.s
As to when the board will release this info I have no idea but I do know that they meet once a month to discuss and decide such issues, I on the other hand am prohibited to divulge any issues or content that is discussed at Commissioner level.

Nationals are definitley to be held in Vic 2007 at Newery, get your entries in for Vic Champs being held at the same venue.
