Fellas,

Cops and Rangers on bikes at Stockton over the weekend nabbing people riding over Pagies into the bowl and anyone heading north toward Tin City over the big dunes. Keep and eye out!

On a funny side to that, coming out of Lavis heading onto the beach yesterday 2x cops and 2x rangers on bikes went past me and Ben over the speed humps they got onto the beach and start heading north for one of the cops to have a beautiful stack and get himself pinned under the bike, I helped him out but leaves me wondering, 'If he ever catches me doing something wrong would he remember it or would he just write me up?'

We had a bit of a run in with them on Saturday.
Also got to have a good chat with them, the crew that own the land in the basin asked them on Sat to start to heavily police the area and get rid of anybody in there or its surrounds.
First time found on private property or not in the RVA you will get your details taken and get a verbal warning, if they are nice enough.
If found again then heavy fines and/or confiscation of your vehicle, police now have that power.
Police are also enforcing displaying your rego stickers and plates properly at the rear of your quad.
All in all they were nice blokes just doing their job but they made a note of it that they would not be so nice a second time round to anyone that has been warned or fined previously.
I feel sorry for any poor bugger that gets caught up there without rego, they will throw the book at you, maybe even the bookcase too.

yeah, they will find that people will stop going there and start riding illegally somewhere else. Also as for the plates on the rear that's wrong. the RTA plate says "This plate must be displayed on the front of the vehicle"

butcherboy,on the weekend I was told by those officers also that my own plate was fine it is in a good position which is mounted on the front two frame bars behind the so called bumperbar. But on a suzuki the pipe is mid mounted at the back so it makes it harder to mount .As long as they can see it when they pull you over your fine.Any one thinkin about doing a runner from the police now think twice as the unrego bikes found out on sat. They had officers backup at fern bay, also anna bay, plus the helicopter if needed at the airport.so take it easy @ enjoy the ride.cheers stock8mate.

Just for the record, the rangers told us they get on THIS website
So for all the guys that post pictures and videos in the basin, tin shacks etc,..
I would remove them.

This site for them is like a big lead of where to look, whos going out when and where to find them.

Giving people a fine for being out of bounds... I get it as long as you knew it was out of bounds.

Banning trikes or whatever because they are dangerous is totally stupid. What happened to "you want to ride/drive on the beach then its at your own risk".
What cant they make people accountable for themselves instead of stopping us from doing everything.

I suppose the best thing to do in these situations is to lay low.

Nah a good idea is ride blackys for a while then when they go there we can play again, if thats your type of thing.
Best thing to do is write to the local & state members of port stephens explaning your conserns & suggetions, hinting at there respose or lake of will sway yours next vote. Last time i looked into it there was over 1800 RVA regoed vehicals, imaging 1800 lettersd sitting on there desks, I dont think we would be as ignored as we are now.

I love how they can put all these resorces into stopping people having a good time and not effecting society on the whole. But cant stop all the drive by shootings in Sydney. But when did a governing body use logic and evidence just look at the figs.......Jokers every last one of them.

its only about money they don't earn any catching drive buy shootists just us having an inocent ride with friends and family giving our kids an interest and keeping them off the streets we could be getting "profanity removed" faced and our kids knocking over old people and break and enter then they would complain about that then you can't win with the fun police

G'day folks, some excellent news today I have spoken to the publican at the General Washington Hotel at Stockton and he is behind our idea 100%. He has also said that we may use the facilities available and can run the social group out of the pub. He also suggested that we will also see many supporters from the local area for the numbers we may require to be heard.
Cheers Brad.

Hopefully I can set a date by Friday for first gathering.

Just another heads up guys, these guys are EVERYWHERE!

Police are in unmarked cars and the rangers are getting very sneaky. They tried accusing me of going left of lavis lane on Saturday until they heard bikes over there and quickly took off.

Remember to carry your purple conditions paperwork and your plate is clearly visible! Happy riding.

I was up there Saturday and I was talking to a Ranger. We're allowed over about 1 kilometre to the left. There's markers there. I never knew that.
