THIS area they say is where we are only aloud to ride then maybe all road registration vehicles should be exempt from using this area. Then we might have a safer area to ride and not be involved in any altercations with them .As they have all the beach and dont use any of the beach we want and can use safely.every quad and trike user should comment and maybe our input might help our cause.!cheers stock8mate.

We need a club so we can present a group of people not a few comments on the net, even though I like a good ranger worimi bash sesh.
What about the REC riders- drivers club or stocko duners- one day we pray, lol. Membership is via having had a REC regoed vehicle, bike, trike, quad, sxs, oddesey, buggy what ever, past & presant & provide proof, copy of papers & plate. If not then its $10 to join money gose to insurence for the club.
Question do social clubs need to have the same type, level of insurance as sporting club? maybe its a cheaper option for insurance, since that is going to be the killer.

As stated you already have a WCL representative he is on here as Ozpilot, here is a link to some information he has supplied, maybe with his help you can get something together.

I'm happy to pay more for a beach permit for my trike and quad if the area was larger and didn't have 4wds passing through it...
I drive on the beach a couple of times a month and I stay out of the rva because I'm too worried bout hitting someone on a bike, I only go that way when heading for the wreck to show friends .. Other than that I turn left straight out of lavis lane entrance..
I don't think there will be any changes to the rva until someone gets seriously hurt killed in an incident involving a 4wd and if this should ever happen I think the changes will be that they get rid of the rva completely ..
I remember reading on here a post from a rep on the rva council talk about changes to the rva at the last meeting some months ago... Anyone know what was set at the meeting? Are they thinking of changes?
Only thing I herd off a ranger they where throwing round the idea of those big flags on rec vehicles

I'm glad you commented on this Glen and I thought you would.
Who is Ozpilot? No disrespect to him but I don't think he's the man for the job as I've never seen him out at Stocko and he doesn't seem to frequent here as much as I'd like my rep to. I think we should start a Stockton Recreation Commitee or something similar.
We need someone who has a fire under their butt, someone who is gonna attack this problem head on and talk to the rta, worimi mob, npws and anyone else who's involved collectively.
I know who I'd like to have representing me Cool

Howdy gents i must agree to all the above comments. After speaking with one of the rangers on Sunday it is becoming clear that things are going to change. Apparently the area may be set to be reduced in size? I think it is time we banded together and became heard as a group. I have sent an email to Brendan Burke aka ozpilot on Sunday night re: what the new NPLS plan of management is as the RVA side of the plan was due out last September. I'm yet to here back, but will keep you posted. The question I pose is are we to late? Would you make the effort and join if I were to start a area social club and stand up in numbers so as we can be counted?

lets assume we are too late, if this guy is a quad/trike/atv rider of any kind he'd know our concerns and yet why hasn't anything been said in our defense?

These are good questions? hopefully I can give you a date by the end of the week. I'm currently waiting to hear back from some more people so I can give you as much information on the area it's expected outcomes and changes. As Micko and I Spoke to you about on Sunday been hopefully I can start and find out the relevant information this week Ben and we can go from there. WE all love this play ground and hopefully the dream can stay alive for not only us but our kids too.

It's one thing to be full of piss and wind, it's another thing to actually do something about it. If we're serious about this then we have to act on it ASAP

they've said about this before and everyone was "aaahhh, rabble, rabble, rabble"

Well Ben I understand where you come from and I assume that you will be one of the first people in line. It is not going to be easy but I'm sure with a positive attitude towards it we can be hopefully be heard if not make some noise towards this so called management plan. On a better note, I received a reply from ozpilot today which I will post later tonight. One concerning thing that was raised was the lack of people who had contacted him aswell as the fact that the window for us is starting to close. So maybe with some effort with people such as yourself we may start to head in a positive direction and not just listen to people whinge and bitch that it is to hard. We need to approach this from a smart direction, not just with a meat clever.

Yes, we are all aware that this has been said before. But it's now at the point where we need to either sit on the sideline until we loose the RVA or come together not just to keep the RVA but improve it. Brad (BIG ROCKS) is willing to chase up where the Stockton Beach management plan is up too and go from there.

I appoligise Leigh I got you and Ben confused, you have the new 700 se don't you and it was Ben who had the Honda. As for who he is I don't actually know but he is a starting place so as to actually try and track down the correct information about the future plan of management for the area as it seems the people who only wish to sit back and whine about it are not even taking the time to read the appropriate links in other areas of the forum. So I think at this point in time can I count on you to be in or out on trying to become part of a group that wishes to be heard by NPWS and WLC??? I hope to be able to start to organise something more solid for you all before end of week so please keep the ideas rolling in and try to stay proactive rather then just vent your frustrations at the wrong people. So in reference to my question what do you think?

well said brad,Ive just got off the phone from the RTA head office and have been told that the beach is controlled by national parks not the woromi council. So then I rang Port stephens council head office and spoke to peter .mick is in charge of all stockton beach issues and is aware of the problems that we are facing each day.so we will be talking tomorrow so that he is aware that we need to try and find a reasonable solution to everyones problem.which is a safer, better area with some nice sand hills which is out of bounds to 4x4's .cheers stock8mate.will keep you posted!!!!!!!!

Excellent work mate, as I keep saying it's going to take all of us to band together on this and be heard as a group not whine at each other. Now I take it that its Mick Murphy that your referencing there? Is a free social group that all it takes to register is your current Worimi and rec rego a good start to making a group on paper which can be used to hopefully start and convince NPWS to start to listen to us, numbers is going to be the key. A calm, formulated plan of approach is essential, and a reasonable approach is going to be needed to even get them to start to listen to us.

I have asked the RTA about a list of rego holders, not addres's just a number & was told, that is not a statistic that we keep but any form of politican, local up to federal can request the stats from the RTA & then they will go find the figures. At the anna bay meeting I herd there was over 1800 rego's 600ish of them 3month the rest 12month. Wont to help any way I can just let me know.
