Web site for park.
http://www.qldmotopark.com.au/
Early feedback it is too dear, too dusty, too rocky and too bad.
And that comes from the two wheelers.

The price is the most expesive of most of the parks in qld.
Manar park. $40.
Motocross mountain. $30.
Rover park. $20.
Glendon. $15.

Once you X 2 adults and X 2 kids it's not the kind of thing you could do every weekend.

it's not dear at all $35 for the day is same price or cheaper than manar park, and alot cheaper than black duck!!
All the whinger's should take up lawn bowls that costs nothing!!!!
So all the whingers should stop their whinging and just go riding or sell ya bikes and save ya money!!! I know what i'll be doing as i know i can't take my money with me when i'm dead!!!!

I'm not into MX or circuit racing, so that side of it has no appeal to me.
With hundreds of thousands of trail riding km elsewhere to be had, for the cost of rego, I don't think I'll bother with this or other "ride parks".

The feedback from the two wheelers was mainly trail orientated......

I do feel for the families with kids though, the joint was promised to be family orientated, quad friendly and a viable alternative to traditional riding areas.
I guess that MA and the Qld Government have different ideas to Queenslanders. Rolls eyes

Sunday---express trail ride--minute to pin it--quad soccer
just to mention a bit of what goes on.

Camping/ hot showers/ toilets/full canteen all weekend

Where--- 55klms west of Kingaroy

Some interesting reading there Dino.
When I called about prices and entry, I was told about the surcharge if you don't book online. But wasn't told it was $10.
So if you wanted to go for a ride on the spur of the moment and don't have a MA license it will cost $52.50
That in it self is enough to make you think twice, but by the sounds of the tracks it's not worth it at half the price.
At the end of the day it's all about the ride, and if the ride isn't good then way would you......... ?

All that being said, I'll go and have a look for myself at least once.
eek

I agree Sean.
Might see you there when they decide to, gratiously, allow quads in for a day.........
MAQ= Maybe Allow Quads?

PostPosted: Wed Jan 18, 2012 6:20 pm Post subject: Bias against quads Reply with quote Back to top

I have posted questions on their facebook page 4 times asking if I can take my quad out there while the kids ride their two wheelers. Each time I asked the question, the post was deleted from their page without an answer.

I have also spoken to a number of two wheel riders who state that there is no immediate plans to allow quads here and there is an underlying preference not to allow them there at all, if possible. Something to do with making this the Premier MX racing location.

Since this is a Government funded site, perhaps we can apply pressure in other ways to allow quads there sooner.

I would ask that Club Presidents chime in with suggestions on what can be done to rectify this bias.

I can be contacted on 0400 469 880 if you would rather speak in person

I made a phone call to MQ today and asked the question re quads at Wyaralong.

The answer I got was quads are aloud to ride the trails and the MX tracks.
But you must register that you are coming out so they know how many quads that be there on day. If there is only 1 quad they will not let you ride the MX tracks as there may be too many 2 wheeler riders there that may not be happy to sit out and watch 1 quad ride around. They are planning on having quad day in the not to distance future.

I will let everyone know as I get more information.

Definately count me in.

Sadly, I have only 1 Quad, but will be joined by 3 or 4 two wheelers. Will speak to a couple of guys this weekend and see if I can get some more to come along.

Would Saturday the 4th or Sunday the 5th suit you better?

If others are interested in coming, call me (Mike) 0400469880.

Would love to see the SE ATV Trailriders come out for a ride.
