Finally a meeting and inspection with council has been organised [inspection of the 6 x 1.8m pipes we want to access to go under a road] and we are thinking of the long weekend they plan to give us for Queens birthday next year in October for a date.
The first half of the year doesn`t seem possible at this stage as a few too many things on.

Have held the meeting with council, engineer came out and inspected the pipes and listened to our proposal. He thinks it`s all a great idea, only a young bloke himself, and keen to ride the event if it happens. So we armed him with all the positives, photo`s, draft of indemnities etc, etc.
For the past several months we have sent a letter to council requesting this meeting, so finally it has happened. Might i add we have some strong opposition in some of the blue collar, pen pushing, desk thieves in council, the argument ----"they will decapitate themselves". So we are explaining that in entering and exiting these pipes it will not be at 100klm /hr, more like 1st gear , walking pace. Letters have been sent to the Mayor, Deputy Mayor, and 2 of our local members, who we know personally, seeking support for this event. Within 12 hours we had the full support of one of them, so that`s a positive start.
So far dates have been lodged with MQ [ 29/30 SEP &1/ OCT, but they have put us back to 13/14 oct. Bikes have a state 2 day enduro on the weekend we want. We will work on it.
We will not hear too much from council for a while at this time of the year, but will keep everyone posted.

I also think it is the same weekend as the quad nationals in vic that weekend.

They just want to see quad events fail
Keep the event the weekend you want it!! what are the consequences???
Hook & Sonia you guys are just legends for your dedication to this stuff if there is anything we can do to help just let us know!!!
And i'm pretty sure the Quad Nationals are the first weekend in Nov!!!
