Hi Guys, we have organised with one of the car clubs,a come and try Khanacross day with the assistance of Westlakes Auto Club and Snake Racing on the Saturday 3rd of September.A chance to give your SXS a run against the clock and meet up with a few sxs owners in NSW.
So get yourself,Mates, family together and come and give it a go!! (kids over 12 can participate)
Have a look on the Snake Racing Website in SXS/Polaris racing, or give me a hollar!
Cheers, Fox'n _________________ OUTDOORS....THE PLACE TO BE,WHATEVER THE WEATHER. |

Thanks,
Phil |

Hi Phil, would be good to see you down at Awaba with the guys in tow. It is short rally type stuff, generally 8-10 stages per day against the clock...one up. There is no more than a few seconds of straight, max is about 65m,so it is fast and windy , and Awaba has great hard packed sandy type tracks,up and down too,not just flat track. You spend most of the time sideways,so if you can keep it sliding smoothly and get out of the turns and set up for the next one, times will be good. It's great for "hangin the tail out".type driving. It does take some practice, but is a whole lot of fun.
They have made a day for us,so we can do runs to suit ourselves, somewhat. We will shortly have some video up, so all can see exactly what your up against in these events.
We will run Saturday day stages and do night stages as well. Will probably stay up there somewhere on Saturday night.Perhaps camp at the facility could be an option as well for those that want to roll out a swag.
I am sure you and the boys will love it!
Give me a call if you want.
Cheers,Mick _________________ OUTDOORS....THE PLACE TO BE,WHATEVER THE WEATHER. |

Well the come and try day has been run and one by a Tamworth import. A great run by Ian seen the days best times in a 6 stage event run in the arvo and into the night. All up we had 10 drivers in the G class Khanacross, with a good representation in the top 10. 56 entrants all up including cars, so the UTV G class made a good show.A few newcomers to this form of racing,by way of Ian,(Tamworth)the dad and daughter team of Ashleigh and Len, and Ryan all in XP's and Trent and Mogens in a RZR 800 made for some exciting racing on a spectacular day. The usual keen as mustard racers of Nathan, Les( mud on my helmet)Mick and Krystal made up the remainder of the UTV field, pitting themselves against the field and the clock.A little misjudgement in track space saw Les on his side with a nice skid mark to the helmet and a story to tell, but no harm done.A following penalty for a DNF, but ,up and running in the next stage.
It was a great days racing, with a few refreshments afterwards for those who stayed in the area for the evening.
Many thanks to the Westlakes Auto Club for making the effort to put on this day and introduce the newcomers to this form of motor sport and help get our class out there.
Also thanks to all associated club members and competitors who have given us a little slack and helped get the UTV racing mob a go.Much Appreciated!!
Hope to see you get involved!

Sounds like great fun!
I have spoken to the organisers of The Dirtsprintz (4x4 flat track) event up here in CQ and they are looking to accomodate a class for the SxS as long as they can pass safety rules and regs!
Thhe track they race on would be great for the SxS' with nice smooth sweeping bends and a couple little jumps, hopefully it creates some interest!! _________________ Finke virgin for 2011.....
