hi guys I have just moved to the mackay area and was wondering how many guys from this area ride. I will have my quads up here after my annual pilgrimage to sandfest at Kingston with the QRCV boys.

Probably shouldn't tell Buzz that Earthmover runs his bikes in by taking them swimming with Saltwater crocodiles, or that there is a very worked Brute force up here that has wicked arm stretching acceleration, or that Mosko111 warms up for quad riding by doing extreme winch challenges or that Slim is a Forest Ninja should I?

Howdy
I lived up in Mackay for a few months a couple years ago, and travel up there (To Cathu near Proserpine) for the winch comp I compete in.
For riding from what I know there's a place called Captains crossing that's meant to be an ok loop, possibly drop into Opposite Lock Mackay and ask the 4x4 guys in there for directions and a bit of info on that area?
If not I'm pretty sure quads can go and ride where the A4de is held (might be called the retreat?) and if not there's sand drags held towards Sarina (was a thread on here somewhere)
and the mx track is as you turn left at set of lights near showgrounds instead of headIng into town, and before you go over the bridge it's on the right near the sand quarry. If you go and meet some of the two wheeled bandits surely they can point you in the right direction for a few more riding spots!
Enough rambling from me now... I better do some work
