I'm sure everyone is watching to find out the dates, times, number of runs, laps per run, tickets, mechanics, parking etc. _________________ Can-Am X Team

so far the dates are 4/9/11 to 10/9/11 inclusive
enter the showgrounds after 5pm but leaving enough time to be suited up and ready to hit the arena at 6.45pm
parking is limited in the showgrounds so i'm hoping to work out a system where we use my truck to get 5-6 quads in, and the remainder in say 2 utes/cars and trailers (10 quads per night)
we have been asked to be "at call" above and beyond the scheduled outings they have for us (the number of which is yet to be determined) to be used as a" filler" as required
each rider can have a mechanic/pitty free of entry charge
that's all i've got so far, but need confirmed riders and their available dates to be able to assure the promoters we can provide 10 per night. |

I'm planning to help out in there on a few nights, but not the last one due to the MX round.
I would do them all if it wasn't over an hour from home.
Do we have a planned 15 minute session or something... and then maybe 'fill in' on top of that?
Or is it 3 x planned 4 lap sessions etc etc?
Are you going to match up groups of rider skill levels for each night, to keep the action close for spectator impact?
For anyone who has not done Wayville...
It's a very big circle, sandy to hardpack, with plenty of run out to the wall.
It's very easy to run and it feels like you have got tonnes of room before the wall gets close.
If you are a novice or new clubman rider, do not be worried about having a go. It's very easy and great fun.
It's not sheep stations racing either, just a fast fun display ride.
For previous Monster Truck support events, we have usually correographed the race a bit, and do things like start all the faster riders at the back, just so the whole group moves in a bit more of a pack.
10 riders on the track will be a breeze, we've run 20 at once at Monster Trucks. _________________ Can-Am X Team

bullet's questions
as my last post said, "thats all i've got"
as for matching riders so like capability rides together, i'll let you know when i know who is riding, no point me saying pro standard riders will ride on thursday, if i only have 2 at that level and neither of them are available thursday |

more news just in
we will have a half hour block of allocated time, shared with sidecars
this may be affected by weather, and/or any other unforseen circumstance on the night.
we will be required to be on standby for the duration of the remaining arena entertainment time in case there is an interuption to other performer's routines that cause a pause in proceedings, and either quads or sidecars will act as a fill in.
any concerns or complaints are to be directed to me on any given night or a proxy i may nominate in my absence, the promoters do not want to be interupted during the events
i have been told that we are yet to demonstrate close racing and it is important in this instance that we do NOT have one or two quicker riders finishing well ahead of the pack, it is suggested that 3 or 4 bikes dead level finish is more entertaining than one outstanding winner.
the actual number of rides each rider gets and the actual number of laps each outing will be , may change at any given time and at any amount of notice. we need to be flexible in both our availability to perform extra outings and our acceptance of possible total cancellation if weather or safety conditions dictate so.
there is no catch fence, this is a demo, safety is paramount, the last thing anyone wants is an errant quad or sidecar over the fence and into the crowd.
all that said, this is still an excellent opportunity to boost our club's resources and promote quad riding in ALL disciplines, if we put on a good show, and a show is after all, what it is
i'm happy to explain this on a one on one basis so if anyone has questions, or suggestions how we can make this happen as best as we can, give me a call, flick me an email or pm here or catch up on facebook |

that's cool, the coreographed 'racing' is more fun than 'real racing' anyway
