Went for a ride today with my daughter, been riding for 8 years there - i have to say bitterly disappointed. The whole place is chopped up from -just a wild guess - meat heads in 4x4 /4x2 wannbees still on owner manual said 25 pounds in the tyres. From the old lavis track area to past pageys -what a pain in the arse. The beach front looked like a a war zone - the quad was belling out from the trenches. Had a big stack and both bikes played up -not happy jan!
Maybe a lack of wind and weather hasn't cleaned up last weeks effort -buggered if i know - For a friday we both left disappointed . |

All of that warm weather we have had through the week has been great but not for the beach, i thought it would have been pretty rooted by now.
Tomoz is going to be one of those days where the beginners in 4wd's will be all over the RVA like a rash.
I have no idea why they dont use the rest of the beach, the majority of them have never been North of the entrance, they have no clue as to how much better the beach and the dunes are up that way. |

| yes we went up the beach today .half a dozen blokes and it was a mess. These rangers need to get there head out of there ass ,get out there and give us quad riders a fair deal.we need somewhere to ride safe away from the 4x4's.dont get me wrong I drive a 4x4 aswell but we need separate areas to atleast have a decent ride.Isn't It a duty of care for national parks to give us a safe area to ride.It must be pay out national parks day because there coppin it today.cheers stock8mate. |

Great day for a ride, got there just after 8am and didnt leave til 6pm.
Only 1 stack today and it wasnt me, Jamie called it early, Eddie Murphy went arse over tit down a dune
Holy sh!t, the beach is the grimmest ive ever seen it, some of those ruts were almost 2ft deep in some spots, think i need a wrist transplant.
One of the head rangers rocked up late in the arvo to bust some dudes that were riding up near Fern Bay, he got em, they had no rego.
He said they had the Pol-Air police chopper up there 2 Sundays ago helping them catch unregistered quads and spotting crew out of the RVA, they busted 14 dudes with no rego in 1 day.
He also said that rangers are cool with not having your rego and beach pass stuck to your bike but now the police have had enough and will issue fines if not displayed.
There was also about 15 or more dudes camping to the North a bit all with quads, he wasnt too happy bout them being there and was bout to call back up i think.
Hes also wasnt too impressed that he got called there again on his day off, at least he was cool with me.
Should have a vid up tomoz from todays ride. |

Some time back they had a big forum that I attended.
Here is the information from that
http://www.ozatv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=15664&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0
The biggest thing that I tried to point out at the meeting was that we needed a seperate area but as usual it was all a big farce and they only wanted to appear like they were doing the right thing, they were not interested in our views otherwise one of us would be on the committee. |

| Being a minority group the ranger's would rather us be banned than work with us, witch was prooved when the public meeting was on & saftey of RVA vehicle user's was mentioned many many many times & guess what, nothing has changed. They coulld be sitting back waiting for another death or major injury so it can be used as evidence to close down the area.I realy wish the ranger's would remember that giving every1 a fair go is Australian, & that we live in a free county or it seems we used to anyway. |

SAND DOLLARS .
If they could make money from us then would care .Think back when council looked after the place - common sence prevailed. but after reading some of the replies here it's a sad state of affairs how the place has turned out .Soon only the sand miners will be left and the worimis will be more than happy with that senirio. |

In the 80's being a Sydney boy i would ride my 250r at Cronulla (boat harbour) every sunday, i did that for years. The dune's werent big like Stockton but it was close to home. Go there now not one dune, all gone because of sand mining and The Greenies
Give Stockton another 10 years and there will be nothing but fond memories!
I have had enough of this crap!
Something has to be done! |

You said it Mick.
I remember back in those days when you would head out to Boat Harbour and there was so much sand out there that it would be on one side of the road on the way out to Kurnell and drifted across the road during the day and be on the other side going home.
LaRocla were the big sand bandits out there that mined it all.
Boaty used to be a great place to go but it's a waste of time these days, there's nothing left. |

Yeah, bloody thing just appeared.
Ive got the GoPro HD Hero, grabbed the motorsport package, it seemed to have the best array of mounts for your helmet and bike, rear view is done with the roll-bar mount off the rear grab bar. |

Who's riding this Saturday?
Also this was posted in NSW news
As those following the changes at Stockton will know, I have been attending meetings with representatives of the various people that use Stockton Beach since last year. The meetings are organised by (the organisation know to most of us as) National Parks and Wildlife Services. The process is called "Plan of Management Consultation" and it is a process whereby the National Parks people consult with those in the community who use and are interested in the area with the aim of acheiving the best possible Plan of Management for the area. The Plan of Management will govern how the area is used into the future. I am the representative for "Recreational Vehicle Area interests".
The details of the above are on the internet at http://www.worimiconservationlands.com/services.php?top=services&category=parkmanagement&sid=82 (a quick search for "Worimi Stockton" brings up the right sites).
I have not heard from anybody from this board (other than those I know well) since becoming involved in this process so I thought I would make sure people know that on Saturday 27 August the meeting of the management consultative group will be devoted to discussing the Recreational Vehicle Area. I do not have an agenda for the meeting yet but I expect it will cover issues such as access, use, numbers, area(s) to be used, regulation of usage etc.
My email address has been published in newsletters etc relating to the above for some time (burke@ebc44.com) and I am happy to hear from anybody that wants to contact me. I will do my best to respond (which has been easy so far).
I am also happy to meet with people if anybody wants to organise a meeting. I am in Sydney at present but I am in Newcastle regularly. If anybody wants to arrange a "public" meeting prior to or after 27 August I will try to attend. I have done my best to represent everybody's interests but it would be easier if others let me know what thoughts they would like put forward.
If people feel a meeting before 27 August would be beneficial, the times that seem most likely for me to be able to attend at the moment are the evenings of Wednesday 17, Thursday 18 or Monday 22 August.
