Hey guys n girls,

Just wondering for those in Darwin, wheres some good places to go for a ride that isn't just all sand? Gunn Point is a favourite for most but the mrs doesnt really like that too much. Heard theres some good spots in Palmo somewhere not to sure where though?

Let us know some of your good spots please so I may also enjoy them
laughing
Thanks

Had a bit of a blat yesterday at Girraween Lagoon. Has dried out now.

Not a huge area but good for something close. Mixture of bush, mud (not so much now), tracks and only a little bit of sand. Just head down Girraween road, on left just past Jarrold Place.

Took my 10 year old son their yesterday and we had a blast.

Gunn point good, but too easy to get lost lol if not with someone who knows it well.

Dido PM Husky.

Cheers Mudfynda

haha funny you say that cause as it just so happens, we went to gunn point on Sunday for a ride and...

We were on the right side of the iron bridge and we just went for a quick ride and thought that we were doin a circle back to the road. But once we found the road again it turned out that we had made it all the way through to Girraween road?! Needless to say we were lost, so we headed back down the track we came from and after a few alternate turns we made it back out.

Was a very good ride and had plenty of fun, first time we've gotten lost out there and probably not the last.

Lol..glad to hear you made it out..braver than me laughing

Tried to find some more spots at Howard Springs and Coolalinga on Monday...but some not so friendly country people (obviously no fans of quads) put a bit of a damper on our exploration. New housing developments seem to be gobbling up all the good spots Sad

Let us know if you find anything new and I will do likewise laughing laughing laughing
