| Not 100% sure. Plenty of rumors. They are a tiaro round and a kingaroy. I have also heard rumor of mundubera trying to have a round as well. But I would like to know for sure if anyone knows. I know the scheduled dates (on the MA or MQ website) are later in the year than previous years. |

Well dont think it will be a mundubbera again this year we still have a club but with 6 members its hard to do anything.

We talked to the people in places and asked to be considered for the 1st round in august, they said they would be in touch with us, that`s weeks ago, and have heard nothing back yet. On the MQ site it also said no women in thunder x, that has been refuted by the sub committee that is running thunder x this year, i suggested they look into that as that is a class they are trying to take away. They obviously have some work to do and claim sponsors are knocking them down for naming rights. We have run 5 thunder x`s before [have`nt had sponsor`s knocking us down and people say we`re one of the best] so things need to change a little or maybe they are looking at 4 rounds or less instead of 5.

You sure? I can see the dates but they have always been there. No other details on the calendar. Is it somewhere else?

On the home page in the yellow box near the top go into motocross events feed .and ktm thundercross comes up.
Click each round for details.

I think you may be right !!!
I looked at round 1 and the sunday 26th June checked out as correct for this calender year thought 2010 was a typo.
Looked at the rest of the rounds ......
I'm definately wrong !!

Current dates on the MQ website (which have changed since last time i looked, so will probably change again) are as follows
Round 1 - 28th August
Round 2 - 25th September
Round 3 - 9th October
Round 4 - 30th October

Spoke to some "people in places" again today in relation to this years thunder x, as yet no ball is rolling, this is a little frustrating as rd 1 28th august is not that far away.
But rest assure if no thunder x takes place, at "Team Ironpot" we could possibly have a great day as the track has been groomed ,picked, fertilized and planted to oats on friday, with 15mm of rain on it today, it`s off to a great start.
Remember rds 3 & 5 under that post 29th june 2009, that`s what we`re aiming for in 2011.
One comment made was "were there quads in thunder x last year"

It would appear there is a shortage of tracks available, but MQ did want Supp Regs out this week from what I heard

Just got of the phone to the people that are running the Thunder cross this year.
They will have the supp regs out by the middle of next week.
There are going to be 5 rounds

An interesting read in the supp regs will be ,or should be that in the event of MORE than 20 quads nominating, 2 yes 2 events will be held for them.
So one week before the nationals at coolum, rd 2 is at Ironpot, great chance to get that last bit of fun in before hand, if anyone from away was in QLD a week early , would love to see you at Thunder x.
