Nope. I've never had the old girl on the dyno so I have nothing to compare the HP difference between the HMF I had and the monsters, but seat of the pants dyno there was no discernible difference in power. My fuel controller settings haven't changed either between the two pipes. In my opinion you really only reap the full benefits of a dual system if you are modifying the motor. Having said that though, they look the shizzle and sound awesome. _________________ I'm not suffering from insanity, I'm enjoying it!!! |

For some reason the USA guys hate the trinity exhausts.
I can't remember why.
I was thinking of getting monster duels with the billet clamps.
But have you seen the new sparks big bore single?
The header pipe on that thing is huge i think I will get that system.
It is supposed to pump out the same HP as a set of duels. |

I just got ordered the barker duals big 3 package from TQSATV, cost a bit but I went with the best, powdercoated silencer, black ceramic pipes, billet clamps etc etc plus it included the powercommander 5 and your choice of air filter, real nice looking and good performing exhaust.
most of the americans seem to prefer either the DMC force 4 duals or barker duals over the others, just something I've noticed, raptorforum is a good source for info |

| I use Duel Dasa pipes and love them! Also have a auto tuner welded into one of them and it makes a world of difference. |

Sorry boys don't mean to burst you bubble, but duels have no gain what so ever, all they do is weigh more, I have prooved it on our dyne many times. all they do is sound an look a little cooler. The exhaust we have prooven to be the best is the woods exhaust, witch legend quad are the importers and distributers for. If your want good power, that's what you need. Give us a call at the shop for more info, 9417 2277 _________________ dummett #26 mxc |

The dual pipes will have a noticable power difference from his stock system as is the case for any variation of the "big 3" mod to the Raptor. The difference in power between a good single and a set of duals however is negligible. _________________ I'm not suffering from insanity, I'm enjoying it!!! |

If he decides to do internal work on the raptors engine later on, duals will make a better difference than a single, aside from that yes just looks and sound on stock bore and stroke.
On the plus side may as well get em, one of the joys of owning a raptor |

Stick with single HMF etc ...duals only give 4HP at top of the revs at best over single....
You will never notice the diff except in weight and in your pocket ... _________________ It's time too ride !!!!!!! |

You dont gain any if so very very very little gain replacing a 4 stroke exhaust, unless you have modded the engine approx 20% in horsepower from the flywheel!!!
in many factors by changing the the OEM exhaust on a 4 stroke you will actually loose power!!
the only time you should change exhaust is on a 2 stroke or above approx 20% on a 4 stroke engine.
Dont listen to shop owners that tell you different as its all BS...if im wrong then bolt on, bolt off at a dyno and prove it, you could gain 1-2% or loose 2% _________________ CUSTOM POWDER COATING AT ITS BEST.

No your wrong back in the 80s etc, the way it is all designed now is so close on perfect as a package out of the factory
if you have a turbo of some sought than yes but then your over the 15-20%
but not on naturally aspirated motorbike and quad engines, doesnt work like that anymore
Dont be fooled by sales pitches etc _________________ CUSTOM POWDER COATING AT ITS BEST.

On a stock raptor engine there is a power gain.
The engine is restricted to meat EPA requirements and noise requirements.
More fuel and air as well as better airflow does make a difference.
No matter how well an engine is designed if it can't breath or is not getting enough fuel or has a restrictive exhaust it will not make the power it is capable of.
If you simply add an exhaust to the raptor without upgrading the efi it will run lean so you give it more fuel which equals more power.
I would pink slip my raptor with a pc5 exhaust and an intake up against stock any day because I would then own two raptors. |
