G'day
I am in the same catagory (price range) mate, only difference is it will be my first quad so I am not sure my prefered riding type yet "mx" or "enduro" and so on.... think I am going to go with an 08 Polaris outlaw 450 MXR. to get things fired up. Plenty of go, not a full on race bike but capable and comfortable enough to sit on for a while for the longer type rides. 09 has a much more mx pedigree.
There is definately alot of bargains out there at the moment and those dollars can get you a reasonably late model quad wich all seem to be pretty good these days.

Mit101, iam not sure what you want the quad for but I had a look at the Kemco brand yesterday, 300cc full auto, water cooled, factory backed 2 year warranty $5500 NEW and the way the salesman was pushing i think he would have come down even a little more
regards Rooster

No question, go with the YFZ450. That or an LTR.
