i was told the same at the same shop
$160 bucks later all they did was tighten some bolts
(i near draged the guy over the counter)

dan you paid all that extra cash for warranty and to keep it honored you need to keep up the service record (thats why i got an hour meter) that way i could show the true hours used

dan for your own peace of mind it's a good idea to learn how to service & prep your own bike, experience only comes from jumping in and having a go & it's also good to become more familiar with your bike in the garage at home so that if some thing does go wrong out in the bush you will have more of a chance of how to fix it. some shops are good some aren't it all depends on who they have working there as to how good a job they do, best thing to do is go and get a workshop manual & some good tools, read up on things as you go. your owners manual has all your pre ride checks to do then just refer to the manual for specifications, levels, clearences etc, if ya get stuck theres enough people who know what they're doing on here to help you out all ya have to do is ask, good luck

dan,
my man what u do is Rolling Eyes ,rock up there with your bike and let them know that
your droppin off your quad for it's first FREE service.. Smile
And if they are a good shop they'll honour the fact hat they said they'd give you 1..

If they say that "we dont give you a 1st free service" .. Rolling Eyes (bullshit)
then explain how the guy you spoke to said that the 1st one is free..
And if they keep talking trash...

FIND the guy that you spoke to about the "free " service,
and hit him up in front of them about it.. Surprised Cool
99% of the time he'll be to shell shocked to talk "profanity removed" in front off you..
then wham Hrm they give you your free service Wink Evil or Very Mad

and if they still make up stories ask for the manager..he's normally more off a (really nice person) then the rest of em..
dont be intimidated by there ugly blue shirts.. if they want your business
they'll honuor the service..
And if you want i'll send jaden up there wearing my thong...untill you get that service Razz bet it wont take 5 mins ..

also there's a thread on here somewhere about free online service manuals.. yours is there Wink

Your manual tells and shows you how to change the oil, adjust your chain, clean you air filter (don't use petrol to clean it!) and where all your grease nipples are. To be honest, a chimp would do a better job servicing your quad than most dealers. Save yourself some money and take your time doing it yourself.

The only thing I don't do myself is the valves. I get them done once a year thru a non-dealer bike mechanic. But, a service manual and a couple of google searches show you how to do that as well.

If you are worried about avoiding your warranty by doing it yourself just remember that it is warranty for three months as they class it as a race bike.

I reckon the darckchild looks better in his own G banger

No ones a$se has a brazilian likes your darkboy.

I was thinking of going to stockton but couldn't be bothered.
I am in Brissy this weekend but didn't bring me yammy with me. I don't think that your yellow machine has recovered from the last floggin it was handed.

It would be good to catch up, I will bring my bike down next trip to Brissy.

Cheers
