 |
|
So Barney orhganised a ride for a few of us up his way. His good mate let us desend on his property and what a great weekend we had. Most of us turned up on the friday night and few on the saturday morning. Was great to hear the banter about who's bike was better and that was only the begining And saturday morning we all suited up and headed off on the first loop. Well for me it was very short lived The track that was chosen was to rocky and I had no ground clearance what so ever... So me and the GLW turned back with Phil and found our own amusement for the day. The ones that were able to do the ride will fill that in (thats right, you Buzzbro)
Anyhoo Saturday night desended into the ever internal debate polaris verses Honda, such childish behaviour from grown men !!!!
Barney mentions that he wants to set a up quad soccer on sunday morning, well if your seen my plastics you know I have nothing to lose So there is just me and barney brave enough to do it, Buzz's missus supplies some team colours, I was yellow
So I give it a crack, i give the ball a nudge with the front wheel, and it fliys off, you beauty I'm thinking, so I hit the ball front on and the kwakka goes over the top of it, and I think I'll run over the top of it, but some how a 240kg bike with my fat ass aint going support a plastic exercise ball, well after about 3 mintutes of soccor, the ball is dead and the game is over...
So with that well and truly over, we decide to go riding!!! But the day before Buzz has a few issues with his throttle and needs to fix it, fortuantly he had a secret that CRC will most likly steal if he dont hurry up and copy right it, or at least be handy on the BBQ...
Well it worked.....
Anyway we headed off and made some good miles, and one think I dont like about the grampions is rocks, more rocks and still more bLoody ROCKS... So I mention this once or 300 times And Barney makes a statement which quite frankly confused everyone ? "you 2 wheel drive quads are soft c@cks as aposed to the 4x4 quads ??? HUH ? AH HELLO we dont have a button to push to get us out of trouble when it gets to hard... But we did sonme good kays and stipped at a picnic site where a group of 4 wheel drives were stopped for lunch, Some in our group had a loaf of bread ? so that was being passed around, and old Dennis wandewrs off and scams a steak off a couple eating lunch only dennis could do that. then some young kid walks over with a plate of bbqed sausages to hand out, not bad this trail riding me thinks. So we head off again, by this time I'm running on my last 2 litres of fuel and hoping I dont run out, and we are just about back when my GLW and dennis miss a turn and get lostish sort of So Barny heads back and finds them and we all get back in once peice. So all in all It was a great ride, there will be more words and pictures added I hope, and there is one one picture of my impersination of John Merrick, which I havent seen yet ... here's a few of the camp site.
buzz for goodness sake get some decent lighting...
There will be ride on the 2nd July where the huts are if your keen! _________________ 2005 KFX700

Looks like you guys had a great weekend, sorry I could not make it. Yogie, you really need to get a proper quad mate, you don't like big deep mud holes, wet steep slippery hill climbes and now you are complaining about a few rocks, why don't you just sell the thing and take up knitting |

I heard that a quad was sold and another one going to be purchased just after the weekend , due to one rider being so imprressed with the power steering and , also the grip and thumb warmers _________________ 2012 Can am Outlander Xt 1000cc

Hey Ben remember this
| bend27 wrote: | | Thank's Yogie, I had a great time in the mud as well. Grizzly was wrong with what he said about you and your rides. We did not spend the whole time trying to pull your bike out of bogholes because you are to whimpy to go through any! I will be down at Skenes Creek on the weekend of the 12th and ready to tackle anything. |
I cannot remember ever saying to you Ben , that Yogie was to whimpy, words said were yogie always seems to get bogged or stuck , and we tow him out ,,, and if i may , mmm think there is a witnes or two to that conversation . _________________ 2012 Can am Outlander Xt 1000cc
