|
I was reading the latest issue of ATV action, and the article of the renegade, it states that theres not going to be a huge market because its a pure trail bike, not even really suited for the dunes.
So, the editor has said that he gets email after email from punters wanting to where to legally ride our bikes, and that the companys should help us out with support to get places or the rego to ride these bike legally. Hence what I want to know if your prepared that is how much your investment cost, but only if your QUAD is used 75% of the time on the trail. please add what ever dollars you're spent on mods or upgrades, dont include repairs from crashes or break downs. What we can do with this info is give the quad companys a dollar figure on how much we spent/spend on these bikes. I know that the companys know how much we spend, it will be good for us to know how much, we pay these manufacturers our hard earned dollars.
BUT IF YOU DONT WANT TO SAY HOW MUCH YOU SPENT, FOR SECURITY REASONS THATS FINE, LIKE I SAID THIS JUST A EXERCISE IN GAINING INFO. _________________ 2005 KFX700

Are these figures over and above the purchace cost or included the purchase cost?
If it includes the cost of the machine, I think you should have 15-20k category and then over 20K. Why? Because a 12-13K quad with a $750 Axle, $1400 A-Arms, a pipe, Airfilter, nerfs, and bumper takes the figure over the 15K plus mark. This type of machine shouldn't really be grouped into the same league as the mongo $7000 motor machine. _________________ State governments give us REC rego + area to ride ATVs legaly! I tried to keep it simple as possible, thats why there's a 15000- and open bracket, But like i said I'd like to know what sort of dollar tjhats spent by us. I think when its all said and done, the amount of cash spent will blow us away. And another factor, to consider, how many guys out there update their quads 2 yearly or some blokes 1 yearly, I know its going to be huge figure and thats why the manufactureers need to get off their colective asses and help us out for once. _________________ 2005 KFX700

| Ok , i ride a 05kingquad LTA 700efi. cost was $12050.oo with a couple of helmets & dri rider rally cross jackets new. I have since spent $700 on a arm guards & full length bash plates. $550.00 on an autocom intercom uhf setup. Was given a new set of heated hand grips as a present. Just waiting on my new VDI ecm which will be around $500-600. It is regoed as well for stocko. I would have to say that quad suppliers are way behind the 8ball when it comes to looking after utility quad riders. You can get anything for a race quad but absolutly zero for a quad like mine. I have to import all my factory accessories from the us. Unfortunatley suzuki still thinks farmers are the only one riding them. Take a peak on the nyroc forums & u will see how big it is in the us & europe. Mine is used 95% trail riding, 5% as a shooting platform . |
