Hey All.

For our trailer, i want side lights. It has 2x already on the side (front side and back). However the trailer is black and 6m long, so at night i would think (for other cars) it maybe hard to see while merging etc. So...do i put RED lights? or CLEAR lights? EBAY has 20x LED red or clear lights for $160 odd which i think is a good price as auto shop wanted $21 each!!

10 up each side, maybe 5 along the bottom and 5 along the top? or should i do more? =]

if any one has had experience with eBay lights, i would like to know good or bad.

Cheers,
warren

If you are putting them on the side you will need the red amber side lights you would only need 2 down the side maybe 1 front and back with 2 more evenly spaced

We have a similiar 6mt black trailer and we have by law Red/amber side clearance lights front and rear at the Top once your trailer goes over 7mt you have to have center light as well as above wheel arch. Its a good idea with black trailers to have lights low on the side so people can see the trailer pull out across the road. Semi trailers have these side lights all the way along the trailer for this exact reason. its ok to have as many lights as you want but side clearance is red amber front can be white back is red so it does not confuse other road uses with the direction you are travelling. hope this helps

We have something very similar. 7Mtrs long 2.4 wide and all Black. We have put 6 amber/red LEDs down each side as well to assist others on the road. The only thing extra that we did, and I would suggest, would be to put an indicator half way down each side as well... Just my opinion.

Check out ..www.britelightautos.com.au (I think it is) for all your LED lights.

Cheers...Rosco
