| if you dont have a ball joint separator you could spin the nut up the other way and do it up till the end of the bolt is level with the nut and give it a tap with a hammer. Instead of just hitting the bolt, you will bruise the thread if you hit the thread. |

| dan the best way to do it is to hit the stub axle at it's most solid point where the tierod goe's through it they are a tapered thread & when you hit it there it shocks it & makes it fall out. you will have to beat the "profanity removed" out of it if you try & hit it out at the thread. if you get stuck give me a ring on 0359966923 good luck |

Between 7 and 10 PSI. Alot of people will say alot of different things. Nobody is really wrong that is just what they like to run. _________________ Mic

unless the bead is broken on the tyre you'll never get it off with out a bead breaker and good tyre levers.
with the tie rods if you undo to lock nuts on the rod and then just unscrew the rod itself all the way to get it off. your gonna have to get it off the rod ends anyway. oh and buy your self ball joint separator ( calles a tie rod emd tool at auto shops) _________________

Dan , u dont need to take the Tie Rod End off , just undo the Tie rod itself ...(u are replacing the rod because its bent arent u , )
If i remember correctly there is a nut at each end of the long rod (bit thats bent) Undo each of these so they are loose , then look on the rod for a flat piece where u can put a spanner onto it. Turn it using the spanner and the rod will undo from both ends at the same time.
It will unthread from the Tie rod end , and the steering stem end at the same time. Take this piece off and replace with new straight one.
When the new one is in place , measure the gap between the wheels ( front of wheel ) then back of wheels ) Make sure they are the same , or, slightly less between the front of the wheels than the back of the wheels (called "Toe In" ) . U can adjust this by twisting the rod . When u have it where u want it tighten both nuts .
Let me know how u get on.
As for the tire ...take it to a bike tyreshop and they will do it wothout n damaging it ... (most of the time) _________________ It's time too ride !!!!!!! |
