Any thoughts on a good slip on for a 400ex, best combination of low/mid
power & reasonably quiet (<96db) use for mostly trail & sand riding.
Any feedback appreciated, particularly any other ex owners.

gday mate, i have a 04 trx450 & i opened the stock pipe right out & it was way to loud, then after a whil i wanted a better system all 2gether so i got my hands on a full titanium leo vince x3 & that system is more quiet than the stock pipe all plugged up & the leo is opened right out so i couldnt get ova how much noise it doesnt put out, i dont know what they would b like on your bike but i cant say anything bad about the Leo vince pipe & the power gains r impressive!

Thanks for your input, I might check that out. Where did you buy the pipe from ?

Yeah, another vote for LeoVince here!
Definately the quietest exhaust you'll find. Both the slip-on and full systems are awesome. Easy on the ears, but don't dumb-down the engine at all!
The only thing i don't like about Leo is that they only produce 4T pipes Sad
So my new project-250R has some shitty old megaphone on it.

LeoVince was the only pipe on the market to come under the 96dB rule "off-the-shelf" when America introduced the rule in '05.
The pipes are all hand-crafted Italian beauties. You should see their all carbon fiber roadie cans (*swoon*)

priesty, i thought id give u a bit of feedback on the leo pipe. went away 4 a weekend with the boys & used the leo 4 the first time, my pipe is opened right up (thats the way i got it) & the noise was very low, i plan to put 1 of its many baffles back in 2 get a bit of extra back pressure but overall the power gain were very noticable & am really happy with the results...10/10 4 Leo!

Thanks for that, but pete at southern quads tells me that Leo Vince don't
make one for the 400ex, so I'm lookin at other brands, DMC is looking like
the best alternative right now.
