Hi all.

I see a number of people converting their ATV's over to HID lighting, great stuff! ATV and motorcycle lighting can be pretty ordinary at the best of times, so HID headlight(s) will give you the best lighting you could have for those dawn or dusk rides, or even better for you Enduro guys.

I am in the process of working out prices for single and dual kits to fit most quads, and hopefully will have some demo pics up for you soon.

What I can tell you about the kits I can supply:

* Ultra-slim digital balast made in Japan
* 35w means no added draw on electrical system and no extra heat than halogen
* Comes with wiring harness including fuse and relay for true universal fitment and guaranteed good voltage source.
* 12mth warranty

Being new to quad scene myself (am looking to purchase soon), I am quickly getting a grip on what models take what bulbs, and any other parts required for conversion. So reply in thread or PM me with enquiries Very Happy

PRICING

Single H6M - $80
H6M twin kit - $120
Single lo beam - $60
Single lo/hi (Bi-Xenon) - $100
Lo beam twin kit - $100
Lo/hi beam (Bi-Xenon) twin kit - $120
Plug-n-play kit mod (see below) - add $20
Express Post freight - $10 / kit
Fitment (Adelaide only) - $TBC

Note:
most of you with twin headlights on your quads will be looking at the H6M twin kit. This kit comes with relay/fuse holder wiring to ensure the best voltage to your new HIDs.

Note: Plug-n-play modification - I have now sourced the triangular connectors used by Yamaha (and possibly others, need pics to confirm) on the headlight sub-looms. This means I can modify the universal kit to to be plug-n-play, all you have to do is connect the relays to ground and positive battery terminal. Also helps for easy removal.

Note: don't be afraid to enquire about HIDs for your cars and other vehicles.

Your Polaris is a funny one mate, it uses a proprietary globe from what I have read, but we'll pull the housing out and see what we can do about a retrofit.

G'day mate. Looks like everyone that tries to adapt thefake headlights to take bulbs don't have much luck. Best bet is what the guys in http://www.raptorforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=62164 have done. When you've done a mod like that, then we can look at converting to HID.

Ok, had a great time fitting up a pair of HID's to rexysa's 08 YFZ450R SE tonight. First time with these ATV kits and I'm very happy with the results. Installation was pretty straight forward, with the biggest chunk of time spent running the relay wiring down the chassis to the battery.

Anyway, pics speak for themselves.....

Let me know what you all think. Feel free to post questions!

Hi all,

Quick update. I have more 6000k kits arriving tomorrow, and connectors which allow me to make plug-and-play kits for (most) Yamaha ATV's. This means the relay wiring will plug directly into the factory headlight wiring harness, so all you need to connect is the power source to the battery and a ring terminal to Ground.

Cost for this plug-and-play option is $20 on top of kit price.

Cheers,
Chris

Got a call from Nathan Watson, leader of the Quadriders SA Enduro series chasing some last-minute lighting for the twilight enduro round a few weekend back. He dropped off his 2010 YFZ450R and picked it up the next morning freshly fitted with a set of 6000k HIDs.

Nathan reported back that the lights performed brilliantly, exceeding his expectations. Was unfortunate to hear he picked up two front flats, but still managed to pick up 2nd place and take out the Quadriders SA Enduro title. Well done!

Here's a few quick pics of the 107 bike after install, hoping we might have some video up soon too.
