So just bought a new trailer recently and the rear door which folds down to act as a loading ramp can be damn slippery when wet. its a steel frame with wodden panels in it and measures roughly 1400 X 1240 on the inside of the steel frame.

Any suggestions for ways to make it less slippery when walking on it. I was thinking of grip tape similar to: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ANTI-SLIP-TAPE-300MM-WIDE-ADHESIVE-NON-SLIP-GRIP-BLACK-/360197115520?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_BoatEquipment_Accessories_SM&hash=item53dd6bce80

I used to have strips of skateboard grip tape on mine so that should do much the same job..

Buy more than you need it wears pretty quick if your driving up it.

Well you could pop a couple of dozen rivets into it, or screw some strips of ally flat bar. Won't wear out, will last the life of the door and will take a lot of weight.

Jimmy O, you can purchase a non slip paint for timber at Bunnings, It works real well, you just stir it up well and paint it on, it dries clear but is real grippy. our Co uses it on 'roof boards'

Easiest, cheapest way?

Paint it, when still wet sprinkle sand on it, let it dry, brush excess off then paint over it again. Done it for years and it works really well.

Not knowing if it can be painted or not but you can buy an anti slip paint, it is like an enamel paint with sand in it.

I would go marine carpet. Just bang a few tech screws around with a washer. I have marine carpet in my trailer and it works real well.
