No GPS yet. The speedo on the bike is way out, it says over 130 and I know that's not right. But have been next to more accurate speedo's and it's around the 100 mark.

I reckon your speedo is out by about 50 Kph.

It actualy holds together pretty good.
I have tweeked it a bit, when I first got it it only did about 80.
It doesn't bother me if you don't believe me or not, all I know is if you came riding with me I'd smoke you like everyone else. eek laughing laughing laughing laughing laughing

That's a pretty bold statement, especially to somebody who owns a 750 King Quad thats been "tweeked" a bit. eek

We ride a lot of tight trails, so the advantage of the 250 is it doesn't get hooked up in the really tight spots.

But if I ever get stuck in a bog hole, I'd want you there to pull me out. Very Happy

Mine was a GPS'd 83 km/h so I'd believe 80 or a few km/h higher than that. But the holding together is the main part. Laughing The engines can do it easy but the frame can't. Laughing

Anyway Back to the task at hand by what you described (walking dog ,going shooting etc) sounds like you will be buying the honda 400 4wd
goes anywhere(underwater as well) as seen at Kamfari in Darwin. one of the toughest boots you will ever ride, last thing you want to do is fix before you ride honda's dont break like the big bears as well. But then it comes down to the rider,ie you dont ride a honda 400 like a renegade 800 ect ect so to save the pain go with the honda and you will be buried with it.By a chinese quad and the bike will be long gone like the warranty after a year or so especially if you like 4wd quads.

Sean's bike is fast and reliable. It is narrower than my raptor, so he can go faster in narrow trails while I am wedged between trees.

Not all chinese quads are bad trust me.

Here is my current company Ride.

She is a V-Twin EFI 552cc and will do 90km/h not broken in yet and no tweaks. Runs a Delphi efi . Has a scan tools availible for it so i can monitor any faults.
I dare say it is not as tough as the Hondas..... But you get what you pay for.

I was supposed to take it to stockton on Sunday but bloody mothers day Sad

What do you do for parts? The biggest issue is getting what you want outside of where you purchased bike from.

I can't speak for the other Chinese bikes but CF Moto have been in the country for several years, and, after walking through just one QLD holding warehouse, I don't have any concerns. Wink
Most new bikes would only be looking for service items, and these are also available aftermarket. Smile
But my son bought a bargain $500 job MX style thing, swingarm bearing broke very early. Crying or Very sad No parts for that.
The difference is that CF have been a component manufacturer for over 20 years, supplying the big name Japanese and one US manufacturer with a huge variety of minor and major components while the sons mistake was from a unknown bling in quick mob......
So the biggest issue is certainly not parts in my case. Smile

Everyone thinks Hondas are perfect.i have replaced the voltage reg/rec on EVERY Honda road bike i have owned !! you would think they would have fixed that over 15 years!! the bst fix is a aftermarket one (chinese i think) or bolt a Yamaha R1 reg on.I have been stranded in woop woop more than once with this.

ok guys, I`ve gone and done it and bought myself a new ATV...
This is how I came up with what I got and what I saw...
First on my list was the Atomik 250 at $3,800. Looked ok in the flesh. But with only 3 months warranty, I walked straight out of that dealers doors.
Then I had a look at the Jianshe 250 at $4,300. 12 months warranty. Looked good. Dealer told me that parts weren`t a problem if I can get someone else to fit them. Yep, you`ve guessed it...walked out again.
Had a look at the Suzuki Ozark at $6250, although I got quoted $5950 on the phone and when I got there the very next day, this price was no longer available. Looked good. Unfortunatley, the only sales assistant working there couldn`t even tell me whether it was a manual or an auto!!! O.K. a bit unfair on Suzuki, but why have such a person working there? So out with the Suzuki.
Then came the Yamaha Bigbear 250 at $6850. Great salesman, who knew what he was talking about. But didnt look as good as what I ended up buying.
Kymo 300 at $5500. Great on paper, with liquid cooling and an auto. The dealer wasn`t too good as he didnt know where to top up the coolant. With all fairness, he has only been a dealer of Kymco for 2 weeks, but even so, come on, thats a pretty basic thing to get to know.
The Polarius was next on the list. $5995 with free $500 worth of extras seemed good to me. I was so close to handing over a deposit. The salesman was great. Knew his product. Even though it looked a little bit on the cheap side, especially the wheels it cones with, I was very tempted. I was glad I didnt.
Then I get a call from a Honda dealer. Quoted me around the $7500 mark (cant remember the exact amount). Told him it was way too much I wanted to pay. He asked what I wanted to pay, and I told him $6500. After a while he gets back to me and says that he can do that. So I went to have a look at the TRX250 and although its air cooled and semi auto, I was very impressed with the quality of the bike and the quality of the dealership. So I put down a deposit and I pick the bike up next week.
