im sure you would know this by now but the very first thing you should do is fit a pro design or similar filter mount and a decent filter like a K&N.
The stock set up is absolute rubbish and this is probably why your motor got dusted!
next up is a set of pipes the most common are FMF ssts but there are other good ones such as Toomey T5s DMC alien or pro circuit. There are actually a THOUSAND more brands of pipes for the banshee but they r the most common in australia.
the next good cheap mod you can do is get a different fly wheel key from JMC racing (or others) which advances your ignition timing by 3 degrees.
while your engine is being rebuilt i would get someone to machine the head for slightly higher compression as well, this is a fairly common mod for the banshee, is cheap and should wake the motor up a bit.
then get it jetted right to suit those mods on good fuel (bp ultimate) and youll be happy as larry!
shouldnt cost more than like $1600 to get all that stuff on your bike and jetted.
speak to Zak at explosive racing (www.explosiveracing.com.au) about the mods he gave me a good price on a set of pipes for my mates quad.
have fun, mark. |

If your on a budget you should look at the basics first, Pipes, Filter, Jetting, this will give you a base to work from, If you plan on going any further with the engine than you should look at a better hadling set up before you do any more work after that. Feel Free to give us a call on 0419 001 747. Cheers Pete _________________
