I have been looking at the rules set out by the NQRC who ever they are?
can anyone tell me why all limited class bikes 90cc 7 years to 13 years old can only be allowed to race/ ride at 30 mile an hour yet 2 wheel 65cc from 5 or 6 years of age can race bikes faster??? This makes No sense to me what does everyone else think???

because 2 wheelers are not dangerous, but make you live longer, while quads on the other are "KILLERS" and are not safe.... Rolls eyes

fella it all comes down those in power make the rules for what ever reason (only they realy know) and we have to live with them.

And how many of you have pulled out of racing due to the new rules???
and as far as two wheelers being safer and quads being killers well i must say i think and am pretty sure no quad that races on a MA track has been Killed thank god. The riders that go into Pine plantations ect ect being 2 wheel and 4 without the correct protective gear on are usually the ones that get hurt, injured badly or killed . I allways thought be it an off road car bike or on road car or bike, 4 wheels was a little more stable.

Now lets get back to the real issue at hand

No you dont have to live with it, write to MA and Quote the rule number you disagree with and the reasons why, a lot of others have and the more that do the more chance we have of getting the rules re written correctly.

Write to both Ross Martin, ross@ma.org.au, and Barry French operations@ma.org.au.

Now can someone answer the following questions without diverting to other areas please.

1 why is a quad rider/racer 90cc not allowed to travel over 30 mile an hour but a 2 wheeler 65cc can?????
2. how many of you have pulled your children out of racing because of these New rule changes????
3. all states one by 1 how much has the numbers dropped???
4. how many parents are beyond livid that you spent money on new or used bikes on the assumption that they would be able to use them on a track???
5. Like i read someone else say WHO CARES what bike ect tom (sausage) or Harry have, some kids are exceptional riders so why would you want to take that away from them is it to fix your own ego?
6. who is sick and tired of hearing this cheque book racing quotation? come on they are kids for Christ sake if tom can afford a more expensive bike and Harry can only afford a cheaper one honestly WHY DOES IT MATTER? Harry quite often beats tom... Isn't it about keeping kids in a socially interactive sport and keeping them off the play-station and off the streets.
6. who thinks that maybe the kids should have a say in t this , remember they are the ones who LOVE AND ENJOY the racing some of you parents teach your children that it is ok to bag another racer because they are exceptional, and also teach your children that it is ok to have no sportsmanship.
7. Why would anyone change the rules that were in place when the sport was finally growing stronger?
8. Now lets see how many of you answer the questions laid out without becoming abusive or steering away form these questions..

I have read them but no one really gives any real answers but bullet who has NO kids hasn't been in the racing for many years , how can he come out with all these rules???? Yes he is one of the nqrc heads but with all the rules he has put in place make NO sense what so ever...this is for Bullit! Why in gods name did you think that these rule;e changes where going to be good for the sport you have sent jnr.. quads back into the stone age, I think you guys really need to rethink the new rules ASAP . LISTEN TO THE RIDERS LISTEN TO THE PARENTS and don't say that you have as I know myself there has been not 1 parent rider that agrees with the rules and you say we all could have had a say what a load of bollocks!!!! There have been a huge amount that have gone to MA Ross Martin and if it was true for us to be heard then Tell me why they are sitting on there chairs inside MA? they sure as hell are not doing there jobs , more like sitting , getting our money, having a great time waiting to retire! And another thing Bullit! when you decided to make these rule changes didn't you think that maybe YOU SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE for paying those parents for the bikes THAT THEY CANNOT RACE anymore?????????????????????? Oops I forgot you just come back back with the most ridiculous answers. As a head of the NQRC where was my written form with all these proposed changes? Dont you think that ALL riders / Parents should have been given a questionnaire sent via mail to their addresses NOT PUT ON A PUBLIC FORUM WHICH IS NOT LOOKED AT BY ALL!!!!!!!!
PUT THE RULES BACK TO THE WAY THEY WERE OR LETS ALL SAY GOODBYE TO QUAD RACING IN AUSTRALIA ALL TOGETHER!!!!!! You have nearly KILLED it already. And MA DO YOUR JOB THAT ALL US RIDERS PAY YOU TO DO !NOW THAT WOULD BE A NICE CHANGE..........And the Pro's I am sure are not impressed by the new changes , i have seen and heard not 1 positive attribute to these changes. AND NO EVERYONE WHAT HAVE YOU ALL GIVEN UP??? Thats what they want Keep pushing and pushing till you are truly heard.

just out of interest mate, where are you getting your "stats" from. Just because you feel so strongly against the rules doesn't mean everyone does. I know many parents who don't take their kids racing and it's not because of the new rules. They just wanna take their kids out trailriding and get them a bike that they think is right for their kid, no consideration of racing regulations

yeah i understand that but if you are gonna use "facts" to back up your argument you need actual facts not just go of the couple of people you have spoken too. where are you getting the answers you've posted to your questions 2,3 and 4.

and at the end of the day, not all quad riding is about racing. if they make it too hard for people to race it will be about trailriding where there are no rules about capacities and kids can have just as much fun as the can at the racetrack

there are also parents and riders that have no issue with the new rules , and because they don't, they are not bitching and moaning about them so you don't hear from them

we can have input to MA, and that input can affect the next set of rules issued. if that input has merit.

interesting to note that if the AFL change their rules (eg interchange limits) the clubs that take part in that competition have to abide by them.
no one club can decide it wont run by this year's rules and go back to last year's rules. Similarly, the rules now in place for us should be given the chance to prove themselves, not canned by mere speculation

and similarly i have a kid with a cobra that has a manual gearbox, to the best of my knowledge he will be the only one without cvt. so our supp regs have seperate cvt and shifter classes. one club manipulating a manifest of old rules and a new rule they invented. hence not enough entrants for the class = no race for us either

what is the reason your kuds cant race?
surely the apex falls into the competition class?, or are your kids too young ?

the rule book is the rule book. and should be a national standard, otherwise come nationals time, whose rules will we be running

I would have thought by now someone from MA could have replied to or at least acknowledged these questions? The lack of response is a worry.
