As some of you know, I had a bit of trouble with my bike at TP300. Pulled it down this morning and it is F###KED. The intake came siezed and made the chain jump, piston came up and smashed the crap out of everything so it is not good at all. We still aren't sure about the crank and rod but everything else from there up is screwed. This is after the engine only has about 12 hours on it after a full rebuild too.
Most of you know I'm running on a pretty tight budget so here is a call to everyone, if you have any parts that will fit an 06 YFZ, and don't want a million bucks for them let me know. It would be awesome if I could get it all going before Tintinara Enduro that is a month away but that might be pushing it a bit.
If I don't end up getting parts I'd say I will just sell the bike as a roller and that will be the end of Feral Racing.

Sounds like I've got a piston and bore, and the head might be able to get fixed locally.

Haha I can't promise that, he has done an awesome job with all the other stuff I have got done, he is doing all the labour for free this time and will port the new head if they can't repair this one.
The cam seizing isn't really anything to do with what he did anyway though, just bad luck and a cam that has done a shitload of hours.

Gotta love the love here.......
I hate to say it but I would hate seeing this thing screwed back together and have it happen again.......Do you know why it happened this time?
Who knows what carnage has been done to the bottom end; a piston and head just wont do it.
I would have a ring around and find some of the guys that have imported quads from the US. I know there is a guy in Sydney that does it and I think Brett Clissold in Vic has done it too. They sell them off as parts. I wouldn't be surprised if there was an engine floating around somewhere.

hope you get your quad running in time for tintinara jarrod, brenton is having problems atm too real shame if he can't get it done in time.
second hand motor how much are they going for ?
but you also don't know how many hours they have done either.
its that 4 stroke thing so many moving parts and you have to replace all parts with new parts just to be sure. dont replace one part and thats the one that will fail.

Cases should be right but thanks anyway. I think I have most parts sorted out now, just gotta get them on their way so I can get it all back together.
