if it is an XMX model (09 onwards) you can get a fair bit just by backing off the shocks and adding a sway bar on the front.

This suspension setup im selling will allow you to do any kind of racing.....

http://www.ozatv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=17205

for flat track you would pump the evol chamber up hard to make the shocks stiff, then pump the main chamber up real soft to set a low ride height. Easy - hard sprring rate and low ride height!
And they still ahve the hi and low speed compression adjustments so you can tune body roll.... and rebound

any other type of riding you can do you just adjust the shock air pressures accordingly.

in the rear the Epic Long travel Linkage set the fox shock really low so you just need to wind a bit of preload off and put up the low speed compression.

This was my 08 DS lowered for Speedway by QuadSquad.
I had the standard shocks 'stroke reduced' and ran 2nd hand springs to suit... but there are lots of options, talk to Adam.

My father use to race flat track back in the early 90's on an lt250 quad racer, it had shorter shocks in the front and a sway bar, im not sure about the rear, I think it had an adjustable linkage. He had it way lower than bullets quad, it was almost touching the ground (the front probably did on heavy braking). He won aussie flat track titles for both 250 and opens with it. He mainly raced it at Nepean.

i made up a lowering link for the back. The rear link has 2 hole. One standed hight and there other is about an inch longer than standed. the front shocks were lowered by pulling out the washer that holds the spring on the shock. Made up some bushes that make the spring sit on the lower control arm. IF u understand what i am on about the bush locates the spring and they were lowered around 2 inchs. didnt cost much for me to make this up on my 09 ds450. just have to be handy with a lathe lol

PS take about half an hour to change the whole bike back for enduro riding

thanks for all your help guys, it would make it easy if there was a ready made lowering kit for the bike but as yet i have not found one.
i am still keeping my options open at the moment but it looks like i may have to buy some used shocks and get them stroke reduced by Adam at Quad squad.
thanks again for all your help
