my bike didnt come with a rip cord so I imported a Tusk Power Pull Tether Kill Switch from o/s and want to retro fit to a 2004 kfx700. where do I install?? any help appreciated. Confused

You need to splice into the black wire with yellow stripe or might be white stripe(I need to check on that)coming out of the stator(flywheel side)which run around the front of the motor to the opposite cvt side.

The other wire you just earth it.......a good spot is the bar clamps as it's close to where you will mount the tether.

Do NOT connect it to the coils unless you want to melt something!

Hooking it to the stator wire is the correct way and it will not affect cdi or anything else.

Let me know if you need pic's......should be able to get them tomorrow if needed.

had a look, a pic would help just to make sure i in the right spot. the one i'm lookin at appears to be chocolat/white stripe. poor lighting so i will check in daylight.

the kill switch open circuits when you yank it out so i spliced in to the ignition power. works a treat. thanks for the help guys
